Re: My first ever thread go easy on me guys

Hi powder_8s

I have a habit of replying before looking at the link..so here goes ....

Is it possible to learn it all and how long will it take a newbie ?

Thank you very much for the link I was looking for it...but found theory first

Must bookmark as a favourite (still havent looked)

Cool link works says for small buyin MTT which is greeeeaaaat

Should I/do I just start at the top and work my way down the list? or is there a better order for me to go thru please ?

Instead of doing this, you can just hit this button next to the post you want to reply to.

They're right at the bottom of the reply box when you make a normal reply, it seems like you're probably using the quick reply box.

Not found/stumbled across by accident yet any theory forum

I think I learn better from seeing graphics/videos and by doing/practicing (spelling doesnt look right sorry)..just read an amzing post/thread on hand reading..saved it as a favourite as i will have to read it a few timesto fully understand
Harrington on Hold'em series is a classic, cant go wrong getting it. Start with that, digest it, practice it, then get another book. Questions for these books have a Q and A section on every chapter so you get to see it work right away. Book 3 titled: Harrington On Hold'em Expert Strategies of No-Limit Volume III: The Workbook is just that, a workbook full of Q and A to get you to understand the concepts in the book.

Kill Everyone was recomended for me. My understanding is that it expounds upon the Harrington books not sure though. Oh yeah its newer too if that means anything to you.

I have no idea what your interested in or what your knowledge of the game is.

Many people start playing the 180 man MTT turbos on Stars. They run regularly so you can always find a game, they are cheap to buy in and they don't take a full day to play. If that interests you read this several times.

Hi again powder_8s

I will definitley give it a read ty ty

I think i want to play tournaments and not cash games (although if someone were to say to get better at tournemnts you should learn cash I would heed their advice)....and I think im going to shy away from turbos for now
I would like to learn turbos eventually i guess but would like to begin very low buyins tournaments

Oh and my knowledge is very very limited in fact for every good thing I maythink I know Iprobably learnt a very ba dthing so im best clearing my head compaletley and starting from the very beginning

Ive played in play money far too long..and some frerolls(Im tlking years)....although I have built up a bankroll....done ok @$1 SNG/MTT 45 man but by playing a unique style but found it doesnt work @$3 buyins ...so I think im good at beating fish and I eman very good...but versus manaics I completely suck

Im on 3/4 different sites but 90% of my bankroll has come from freegames/promotions

I think basically in real $ if there are enough of bad passive players at my table i win otherwise i lose lol

Hoping to go thru that first link you sent and try to do 1 every other day ...to let it sink in..if they complex be 1 a week...as I will have to ask lots of questions

Thanks again

Gary
