Just reg'd for my first MTT. Not really sure about the strategy but I assume it's roughly like cash when deep and SNG when short? And I know to be aggro on the bubble.
Thought I'd play a "quick" SnG on stars.
Don't usually play them, so tried a $0.25 45 man.
Man, it took hours.
Finished 4th for $1.29. No big deal but a nice ROI.
I was down to $650 in chips early on too ($50 blinds).
Villain who will probably win is a total donk luckbox, who knocked out many people with hid K5s all ins...
EDIT: Yes, he won, shoving KTo into AQs and rivering a T...

I'm such a sick puppy sometimes I was winning a bit, then had a sort of setup hand where I had tons of outs. Then all hell broke loose and I just seemed to be getting loads of standard spots and running bad. Maybe I was a little tilted but they felt pretty good at the time. I was down on the session, but I had a few big pots and one of my biggest pots at the limit where I sucked out. I had an idea I was behind but thought it was either shove/fold spot.
Decided to loosen up a little in position. Massive flop for me really. I got it in with 51%. All hell broke loose after this
I was pretty mega-tilted on this hand and thought I was just throwing my money away but didn't care at this point. It was a tilt call rather than hero call. Couldn't believe it was good!
I flopped top 2 with a gutshot. Really didn't want to get it all in this deep on the flop but it worked out I guess.
I called the 3bet in position as really deep. After flopping middle set I was kind of scared about AA. I thought it was a fold / shove spot really as I didn't see what would change on turn. Without the flush draw I don't shove I imagine. I pretty much saw what I thought i'd see and was just hoping i'd hit a flush. Lucky river for a big pot!

You make shoving KT sound like a bad thing lol. KT is pretty much almost premium end of shoving range.
Good short session last night.
Plenty of fishy villains about, which I find hard to play against when they hit their draws because I never believe they would call to it.
Was going bad at first, all my big hands cracked. Got away cheaply here because I slowed down and villain didn't even bet!
Don't know what A4 villain was doing:
River:($0.71, 3 players) 4 Hero checks, CO checks, BTN checks
Spoiler:
Hero shows K K (One Pair, Kings) (Pre 57%, Flop 37%, Turn 4%) CO shows 5 6 (Straight, Ten High) (Pre 17%, Flop 16%, Turn 71%) BTN mucks A 4 (One Pair, Fours) (Pre 25%, Flop 46%, Turn 25%) CO wins $0.68
ATs beaten on T high dry board by passive villain calling down with QQ.
QQ beaten by 79s after I 3bet him, he calls and flops a straight then check/calls me all the way down to the river where he finally leads out less than half pot bet!?
This was biggest lost pot though. Villain was about 75VPIP, and seeing what hand he calls a raise with, it's easy to see why
River:($1.36, 2 players) 4 SB bets $1.30, Hero raises to $1.71 and is all-in, SB calls $0.41
Spoiler:
SB shows K Q (One Pair, Queens) (Pre 30%, Flop 74%, Turn 3%) Hero shows A K (Straight, Ace High) (Pre 70%, Flop 26%, Turn 97%) Hero wins $4.55
Nicely played by villain, helpfully shovelling money my way.
I think you would be better off raising more preflop with these hands. Try going with a standard 4x raise if you're first into the pot. Add 1 bb for each limper. But raise even more with big hands. So try maybe 10c with JJ/QQ and 12c with KK/AA. Still add 1 for each limper also.
At 2NL you can get away with this since people will still call but you will have the better hand most of the time anyway. You just don't want too many people in the hand with utter crap like 8To.
I've barely had any time to play at all this month, but thanks to a nice SCOOP cash and some success in the market place (if I can't play, why not let others play for me ) I've still managed to triple my roll. I'm very close to my goal of 30BI for 25nl now, but since I didn't earn the money by proving myself a winning player at 10nl, I'm going to go for 40BI before moving up. Perhaps a good idea to have a bigger cushion anyway.
In the JJ hand I'm betting the turn and river for value. You have top set and he's going to call with nearly any piece of the board, including an 8, a T, and either flush draw. I'm probably betting very slightly bigger on the flop too, but only 3-4c bigger.
