Hey guys. Long time reader. Anyways I got a few bucks from my tax returns and have already blew off 2 buy ins in live poker. Last night I doubled up and it would have covered my losses but I ended up staying to long and got bored and donked off too many chips. My question to you guys, should I just grind micros and low stakes online to get a better handle on my game and on situations? I was a little tilted after a hand I folded yesterday. I was I CO and utg+1 raised to 12 and it folded to me and I called with KK spade/club. Flop is a full board of low hearts, highest one being a jack heart. He ships it and I tank here. Is he flop flush? Does he have ace heart? I end up folding and then putting the hand in pocker cruncher and it shows my kings being ahead like 70% to 30% for his range I set at top 23% of hands. I was a little mad. Anyways that's my question. Should I grind the micros and learn a lot thru more volume of hands? Or try to fire another couple bullets at the live scene? For reference I live in LA so we have a lot of card rooms. However a lot have capped buy ins. The lowest limit that allows 100bb buy in is 2/3 at the bicycle club. Thanks for your guys time and consideration.

Also I'm playing on ACR right now, thinking of depositing to ignition as well. Any other online card rooms I should be loooking at? ( I have bitcoin ready )

Dont waste money grinding micros. The only reason I play online is to stay with the game when there isnt a home game or im unable to go to the casino..

Getting bored at the table happens to me too. Dont get all bent up over one single hand you probably wouldve lost anyway. You cant let these things stay with you. You need to focus on whats next while gaining important information on your opponents.

If I flopped a flush, I would always check... no one shoves a single suit flop with a flush.

You already proved to yourself that you can come back from two buy-ins.

Sometimes, you just have to walk away from the table for a little while and take a break. I ALWAYS trust my gut instinct when I think I should walk away because the action is killed.. Just walk away and forget about it!

It really depends how much you want to spend learning the game. If you listen to the above advice you're more likely to lose more money learning the fundamentals of the the game than playing 1c/2c or 2c/5c online.

Why didn't you 3 bet preflop? Certain Read or that's what you always do? What range do you put him on? Does someone really shove a flush on the flop when all you did was call a preflop bet?

Ask these questions at the table and when you study and you should get better.

Yeah I think I'll stick to gettin. Solid online and then hope that knowledge transfers to real life. I think the biggest mistake I did last night was saying

"Staying is +EV these guys suck"

And then opening my range and degen donking draws in position hoping to hit and not table changing to the drunker crows.

Resisting the urge to go to the casino today and will spend the rest of the day on 2c/5c
