So here's the hand: https://youtu.be/lXWkklZ7XSA. What I don't understand why does Kyle bet the river? The king is extremely likely in Xuan's range (or would she barrel it on club turn?). I can't see what worse hands could call him here? I'm not sure where to post this. Thank you guys.

which kings exactly check both turn and river? back in 2012 most people were cbetting merged, so he can get value from hands like 9x, TT or JJ, plus induce a spazz-raise with his small sizing

Plenty of worse hands can call the river bet [A9, 10s, JJs]. Kyle's hand is actually under repped.

It's from 2012 and it's a tournament, so obviously both hands are played terribly. Julius is hoping to get called by 9x, T8, JJ/TT etc, but it's a bit thin.
