Interesting stat of mine

After 1,254 hands of .02/.04, the ONLY positions I've won more than a dollar from are the button and the cutoff.

87% - yes, 87% - of my losses are from SB, BB and UTG.

Not a sign that I need to play more positionally aware is it?

Your VPIP/PFR are indicators of positional awareness. Over 1250 hands your win/loss stats are just a measure of how lucky you got in each position.

I wouldn't even completely trust your positional vpip/pfr over that sample size. Not having a dig, just sayin

lol sample size. play moar (10 times that) then you'll be able to study your stats.

Re: Interesting stat of mine

everyone loses more from BB and SB - thats cause of the blinds. UTG thjough you should be super tight opens, no limping and your tight range should net you profits.

Stats converge at different rates, he has plenty to check VPIP/PRF. Win rates by position are pretty meaningless though at this number of hands.

Re: Interesting stat of mine

Over a large sample, most of your profits will be on the button and in the cutoff. MP and EP should also be profitable, but less so. It's very difficult to make money in the blinds. All you can do is limit your losses.
Over 1000 hands though, there's not much scope for looking for leaks. If you kept getting aces in the big blind, for example, your short-term stats would be completely out of whack with long-term expectation.

Re: Interesting stat of mine

As everyone has said, 1k hands is nothing to be able to judge by. That's like trying to count how many apples are on a tree without even seeing the tree.

As far as winnings from positions, I will say that your CO and BTN should all be higher. And by should I just mean they generally are. I am a loser from the blinds(basically everyone is) and was a slight winner UTG and slightly more from MP....etc, and the biggest winner from the Button. If you look at my VPIP it also followed a similar trend, tighter in the blinds and looser up to the button, with my button being my loosest position.
How can you play MORE hands and still win MORE?? POSITION.

Sorry, I just got off work and I'm rambling after barely reading your question, haha. My point was that if you are going to win from any position it's going to be the button. period. (over longer periods of time, not any 1 random hand)
You just need some more hands to be able to see what's really going on.

Sample size is too small.
