Its a cliche but you need to play the player, and not look for cookie cutter strategies.
Your counter strategy to leading is completely dependent on what villain is leading & why he is leading with it.
If he leads weak and calls you are value raising him, if he leads weak and folds you are bluffing him and disguising your strong hands, if he leads strong you are folding anything below his value range in these spots.
