There is a pokerbot that wins 80% of the time at online nl 6 or 9 tables.

I buy it you buy it everybody buys it. How is this bot then going to beat it self?

"wins 80% of the time" is kind of a weird formation. What does "win" mean exactly? Come out ahead in 80% of cash game sessions? Win 80% of the tournaments it plays?

If everyone was buying them, what would be the point of anyone buying them? I use Holdem Manager partly because I know some players won't , which gives me an edge over those players. Also, I'm willing to watch the videos and learn how to best used HM2 and some other players won't study it. Again, edge to me.

In your scenario there is no point in playing as there is no profit to be made. Over a large sample size all of the robots will be very close to breakeven.

The only way that anything (bot, player) wins 80% of the time is to play an exploitive strategy against exploitable players. If the bot is playing itself, assuming it was intelligient enough to spot exploitable traits, it would constantly be evolving against itself, and would therefore not be able to win 80% of the time.

If you had a gto bot, playing against other gto bots, no one would win. Outcomes would be solely dtermined by variance

FYP.

There's often a wide gap between marketing claims and actual performance, especially in non-regulated markets.

Beyond that, it comes down to that if you have a table filled with equally skilled players (human or bot), only the house wins. Everyone else will lose from the rake.

So the bot sits down, shoves all in the first hand and quits when he wins the blinds? Yeah that should work roughly 80% of the time.
