I think you don't want to get too many of your chips in preflop with AA because it's a vulnerable hand. I'd rather get dealt AK because there's more ways for it to improve and it can hit straights.

you found the right place. dare i suggest getting involved in the forums. lots of great people here. you might have a bit of trouble getting someone to dedicate their time to helping you get better at poker if there isnt much in it for them.

+1 This place is a treasure trove of information and in time you will begin to see certain regulars here that for certain types/situational questions are the absolute tits when it comes to giving good detailed answers that anyone can understand. Be careful of the guys that you see getting flamed (put down) frequently because there are quite a few regulars that are also about as useful as a third testacle.

How do you know a third testacle wouldn't be useful?

The BBV forum is a good place to post your bad beats. All the posters are very nice and will give you honest advice. At the same time they will encourage you to keep trying and will never insult your play. Good luck sir.

BBV4L is a good forum, much like BBV but instead of offering valuable poker strategy, provides advice on other aspects of life, including relationships.

Who in their right mind would take relationship advice from BBV4L

"Hi honey, I've been doing some thinking about our relationship... TITS OR GTFO"

*Serious face* To the OP - welcome! Think of 2+2 as one large poker-buddy. Feel free to post hands, ask questions, comment on other hands etc. We are here to help!

combat et al, this isnt bbv, op is new and may not get levels and such. thus, if you want to post like youve posted in this thread then bvv is thaddaway.

as much as this thread has limited potential. deliberate and obvioustrainwrecking of threads in beginners is frowned up. ty and have a nice day.

serguy, heres the thing. you just cant waltz in here, say i want someone better than me to teach me how to get better at poker out of the kindness of their heart. this forum is about 'give and take'. if you post more, form some friendships and earn the respect of the forum you might have a chance of getting a mentor of sorts. so its up to you...start by posting more and learn together with other forum members as opposed to expecting to come in here and take away a good player to teach you.

btw we do have a coaching forum which you can go to and seek a paid coach.

You are correct that you should never limp strong hands preflop, but you still probably would have gotten called / cracked by jacks. Hands like this always serve as a cruel reminder that a 90% favorite =/ 100% favorite.
