Basically just flicking through tracker as im on a bit of a breakeven stretch and i selected filter: final hands: and losing big with one pair hands is this normal?
im guessin its pretty standard to lose big with those as it includes all pairs like 55 on AQKQJ or something where you obv cant win. Hard to flop pair as it is and for it to stay top pair becomes difficult
yeh you will definatly be losing big if thats the case! also should be losing big when at showdown aswell i think. There could be a leak in there somewhere but it will be impossible to be able to tell what that leak is. Just look at hands where you have a pair and if you feel unsure whether to fold it or not post it in...
If there was no betting at all and you just checked down every street (or alternatively just dealt out 7 random cards), the most common holding at showdown is 2 pairs (including when there's a pair on the board), so one pair, even TPTK, is rarely going to be good when you consider that most players will have folded marginal hands on earlier streets when faced with aggression. Top pair usually only beats a missed draw.
If you're losing hugely at showdown, then you've probably been chasing draws without good odds (often making a medium pair while chasing the draw), or you've called raises when you had TPTK or overpair and couldn't find a fold.
Even big winning players lose big with one pair hands, that doesn't mean you shouldn't call them down. A lot of times you're faced with situations where you're getting good pot odds but expect to win 1/3 or 1/4 of the time so you still have to call.
It's a bit simplistic to simply say, fold 1 pair hands more often until you stop losing with 1 pair.
