So, I'm curious as to how you first got staked live. It sucks that I'm 19 and limited to only play in Canada or Turning Stone. But I've been playing for 10 years now, and about 5-6 years online.

Played in my first MTT a couple months back at Turning Stone, beat over 2/3rds of the field. I'm much more of a tournament player than I am cash, but for the hours that I've put in playing cash (only 1/2), I've come up pretty good. No HUGE scores to speak of, but usually 200-400 PROF.

How do you go about getting a stake? I'm a college kid with some expenses who loves to play poker. I want to play tournaments, but don't really know how to go about getting staked. Even for a little.

I dont understand how you have been playing ten years but dont have money to play in a tournament yourself. how can you get a stake if you arent a winner?

I don't necessarily have a bank roll.

Again, I'm 19. I have car payments and insurance, as well as college costs.

I plan on starting a bankroll (taking a portion of my check to start), and not taking my winnings and spending it on expenses.
