Finale table deal uhh?

How is this icm deal given by the mod right? the chip leader has like nearly 4 times the stack sizes vs the other two.

Re: Finale table deal uhh?

Not sure how deals are calculated.
But, even if one player is 4x-chipleader, why would the others agree to a deal where he gets 4times the money the 2nd place gets - If you calculate it that way, 2nd and 3rd would probably get less than they would without a deal.
Question is: Why does the CL even deal ? If I have that massive chiplead there is almost no way I deal there, no matter for how long we already play. He must think he really has no chance in 3-handen play / hu..

Stacks are big enough that you can still wait and pick spots, so there isn't a huge advantage... I wouldn't have taken the deal if i were the leader though.

Re: Finale table deal uhh?

yeah unless the chip leader was in an emergecy and had to go... better to knock the 3rd guy out to have more money for the remaining two

What's the payout structure? If it's extremely flat then the chip leader could have made a good deal.

If I remember correctly, Pokerstars doesn't use ICM when calculating deals.

with blinds 800k/1.6m the shortstack has 12bb, and the 2nd in chips has about 20 - 12bb 3-handed, dont know if you get too many spots there
Depending on the payout structure, I think the short-stack made a great deal

Btw, the conversation was pretty amusing, how the CL said: hey, no, i dont anderstand...and me no and the other guys just didnt care..haha..funny read imo

Lol with that massive of a chip lead I'm just letting the guy in 3rd blind out and open shoving him with almost A2C on his BB.

Re: Finale table deal uhh?

simzek got screwed here lol. 3rd has just over 10bb 3handed and 2nd only has 20bb. even is 2nd doubles through 3rd sim still has over 2-1.. i would have demanded a much better deal, or not even dealt..

not sure on exact numbers i would demand for... would depend on players skill levels/how good they are short handed/short stacked

Re: Finale table deal uhh?

Stack ratios are about 1, 2 and 6. As chip leader here I'd want $32-35k, other guys split whats left almost 2:1

depends on the amount you *have* to agree for 1st as well.

edit: finally 27, if you agree, ok ! I agree... Im not sure the chip leader understood what he was going to get :/

Re: Finale table deal uhh?

Seems crazy at first and I do not know the original payouts but there was about 65000 left in the prize pool and 4th place had just gotten 10k. I am assuming it was something like 14k, 20k, and 31k. Simzek ended up getting 27k from this which isn't too bad of a deal since this is poker after all and bad things do happen.
