I mean I'm pretty much the poster child for going nuclear on them when they get belligerent, but the key is belligerent. This guy is a Ke.vm.ode level of cluelessness but while there's plenty of stubborness I'm not reading the hostility. And ultimately when I do go R. Lee Ermey on them it's always with the hope that the straight talk/reality check is going to result in some much needed self-reflection.

Just calling someone a troll is about the most useless approach. If they are a troll, they're going to ignore or deny it. If they aren't they're simply going to reject the label because in their mind their questions are all completely legitimate and often VERY IMPORTANT. Calling them a name doesn't help them in any way, either in addressing their issues or dealing with whatever cognitive dissonance has them going around in circles.
For that, you need a sports analogy!
