Hello, I have this question

If you would start learning to play better poker and would consider concentrating on one of those. Which one would you choose?
Fifty fifty seems more interesting for me.. but I am not sure.

What would be your answer?

Gimmick games like 50-50 tend to foster different strategies than standard play, so I wouldn't choose 50-50. Instead, I would focus on building strong fundamentals and examining my play to learn where my holes are before moving towards games that require me to change basic strat.

The problem with games like 50-50 is that they require you to think differently and play differently than you would in normal games or tournaments and those skills may not be directly applicable to other styles. IF you're looking to play better poker it wouldn't do you any good to choose a game that you wouldn't find elsewhere. If you get really good at 50-50, you are basically stuck at any 50-50 games you can find and there's not many of them outside of Stars.

Just my 2 cents. Good Luck.

I think those games offer a pretty low ROI, so it can feel like you're banging your head against a wall if you try to grind them. You don't know until you try though. Maybe they are still beatable for a decent clip if recreationals still like them. Unfortunately, I think the Eastern European nits took over, and most of the casuals switched to the more "exciting" format of Spin and Gos.

Totally this. Doesn't Pokerstars even make a note that it's a different style of game in the tournament info?

Thanks for the tips I tried to play some 3 usd fifty fifties... they are full of same players (regs). Who just sit and fold without any action. It was so boring I can't image the higher stakes. Tried to play some usual 9-handed and it seemed way easier to cash in.
