I found that was a problem as well when I checked them out.
Hard to tell who to start with.

There's a guide here.

If you're playing beginner six max NLHE I would start with From the Ground Up which I found to be very helpful. Also the real life NL Grinder series are good but don't tell Alex, his head's too big already.

I think there is an equivalent PLO beginner series but I wouldn't swear to it.

Hugely. So hugely it's hard to quantify but I can look at the upcoming year and legitimately think about making 100k. That doesn't mean it's a given, or even easily accomplished and I may have to give in and get a job at some point but it's definitely possible.

Deuces Cracked has been a big part of turning a mostly losing 50NL player into a small winner at 200NL and I am confident that they can help me make the transition to 400NL and higher.

I will say this though. You need to work hard at it. Watching the videos isn't enough. Participating in the forums isn't enough. There's a video series they have out on how to improve as a player which I think everyone should watch.

Also the single most effective thing is going to be one on one coaching. I absolutely positively cannot recommend coaching enough.

Okay, full ring is a little ******ed but whatever.

I don't know much about their full ring content but I would recommend watching vids and trying to apply things and work your way up to about 50NL and giving that a try for a decent sample 25-50k hands maybe then get a few coaching sessions.

Ive never played anything but fullring, but it seems I am quickly seeing that i am not as decent a player as i thought I was.

I guess maybe i will make attempts to move to 6max i guess.

Congratulations, you have just hit the first major milestone in your poker career.

I am not remotely joking.

Realizing that you're not that good is the first step in getting to be that good. You cannot learn until you realize that you have something to learn.

I harsh on full ring, perhaps too much but I think there is one very good argument for playing six max and that is that there is a ton more educational material out there for it.

Not only that, but it's (apparently) better for improving your post flop play too. Probably a result of having to play looser shorthanded, therefore getting into more marginal situations post flop.

EDIT: if you do switch to 6max, I have seen the following recommended:

From the Ground Up (mentioned above)
Real Live Micro NL Grinder (ditto)
King for a Day 1 & 2
Moving on Up
Turning the Corner
Mathematics of NL Holdem
whitelime v prinnyraid
The Coaching Tree
Lightsabers
+EVolution of a poker player
Parallels
Unconventional Wisdom

Plus: anything else by tubasteve, stheif09, wiltontilt or balugawhale. Plus others, there's heaps on there.

Note: I've only watched FtGU, which was excellent. The above list is what I have downloaded on the basis of research done with Google, etc.
