Typical, non-educated response. If you can't turn a positive R.O.I on ClubWpt then you are definitely in the correct forum.
Subscription sites are a good value for a certain segment of the poker playing public. They are especially good for players who are interested in learning Tournament Poker. Beleive it or not, there is an entire subculture of players that play nothing but subscription sites because they always turn a profit, and still have the chance to win up to a $11,000 prize. With around 200 cash tournaments a month with a prizepool ranging from $50-$11,000 this would equate to a .10 per tournament buy-in. Show me a cash site that you can turn .10 cents into $11,000 playing in only two tournaments.
Subscriptions sites aren't a good place for cash poker(ring games) Sit-n-goes can be hit or miss as another contributor already mentioned. However, for learning the nuances of tournament poker they are excellent. Learning the discipline it takes to navigate a large field has extreme value. Understanding how to beat manic aggression pays huge dividends later. Learning how to master position play, without have to LOSE money doing so is worth $20 a month.
I use to play at Spadeclub, which is now defunct. I spent $147 there for 9 mos of play, and received 3 checks in excess of $500 from them. More importantly, I won two side events and had 9 additional cashes out of 37 live tournament played and finished in the top 200 in division II according to Pokerpages. I earned both POY and BLuff pts as well. Not trying to toot my own horn here, just stating this to refute "the wasted $20 per month".
For those thinking that subscription poker sites might be a good fit, here is a list of sites: (this is just a list and are most defintely not ranked in any order)

- clubwpt.com
