Mostly full ring cash @ 0.02/0.05. I also like SnG's to mix up the game play.

Cash - 30 buyins is usually standard. Obviously if you can't move down right away during a long losing stretch then more would be better.

I would advise to choose 1 format to specialise in.

Then play 1 stake and move to another stake only after deliberation, not randomly.

Starting at 5NL, move up to the next stake when you have 30 buyins at the next stake. Increase this number by 5 for every stake you go higher. (30x10, 35x25, 40x50, 45x100)

Move down to the previous stake when you lost and got more than 10 buyins below the entry requirement for a level. Increase this number by 2 per level if you want. (so you allow yourself to drop 1/3 below the entry requirement)

That is pretty conservative and made to keep your mind calm. Of course even if you go with 20 buyins to go up in level and go down when you lose half, you shouldnt really be going broke. Youll be moving up and down a lot though, see money coming in and evaporating and it will drive you crazy. For more peace of mind you might even want to reduce the amount of losses you accept before moving down. This will of course also cause you to move up and down more often, but the swings are smaller and it will take less time to make back on the lower stake what you lost on the higher one.

This way your bankroll and skills should automatically grow in tandem. If your bankroll grows faster than your skills, youll be moving up and down a few times more before esteblishing yourself at a higher stake. You can also if your bankroll is big enough for the next step but you dont feel ready, cash out a bit and stay where you are. Better yet, spend some of it on study materials and analyzing tools every now and then while delaying your move up.

For SNGs use a similar system, but the numbers or buyins need to be bigger. I dont really know how much bigger.

For $0.02/$0.05 and $0.05/$0.10 on Bovada, I think you should use somewhat aggressive BRM, especially for regular FR tables. These games are among the softest on the internet, 10+ BI downswings at these cash tables are going to be extremely rare for a relatively solid player. Just play solid, don't get out of line at all just value town calling stations, fold to any of their aggression on later streets, ez game.

I can't speak for SNG as I've never grinded them but my recommendation (probably biased since I am a cash player) is you just play cash. You can build your roll a lot faster imo.

Anyway if I were you I'd be trying to get to NL10 ASAP. Like take a shot of a few buy-ins when you have like $160~. Also you can table select to some extent on Bov, it takes time, but if you keep checking out ones with high plr/flop % and/or avg. pot size eventually you'll find a seat at a table where guys are just recklessly gambling.

But completely disregard everything I just said if you are new to the game. In that case you should just try your best to not bust your roll, and If you do, consider $100 a pretty cheap lesson

The BI info was great; that'll help me determine when moving up is a solid move. I haven't taken a shot at NL10 yet but would not be opposed to it.

My FR game is TAG for the most part; loose on the button in spots when I've observed certain seats. 3 betting big pairs PreF, squeezing in position; the like. I usually 1 table because I like to observe tendencies. I'm more so interested in building skill (post flop) than building a roll at the moment. However I want to employ sound management during the process and feel good about what I've read here.

Like others have said, if you are finding 5NL easy and can crush it, definitely try to be aggressive and move up to at least 10NL as fast as you can since the 5NL players are almost as bad as 2NL players in other sites. In my experience with Bovada, especially if you are a zone player, try to move to 25NL ASAP if you are good enough at 10NL. This is because 10NL usually doesn't run and when it does(night time EST), the 25NL tables end up being as soft, if not softer than the 10NL tables. There really doesn't seem like much of a difference between the two if you've always played a solid game at 5NL(mainly not going too crazy with top pair).
