Re: BQ Micromillions #2 Rail Thread

Just under average in #3, lots of passive fish at my table atm so just playing the waiting game and treating it like a cash game atm while we are still relatively deep. What do people make of this hand? On the turn the villain on the BTN was a fish so I was hoping he'd bet out and felt c/r would be better against this opponent, is it better to just bet out here?

Is river a clear b/f?

Villain is passive by the looks of it, 48/3 over 61 hands. Does he raise worse than a FH here?

You really should be c-betting that flop.

I played the .11r and it was an absolute ****fest, but I wasn't taking it seriously.

Raise bigger OTT IMO. He'll still call and you get more value while you *know* you're ahead. Seriously, metagame doesn't matter, just make it about 1k.

Re: BQ Micromillions #2 Rail Thread

I normally would but I just really doubted how much FE I would have vs the fish, didn't want to bloat the pot OOP with air essentially plus I felt that if I did hit I'd still be able to get max value.

Got 10K at 2nd break, 3.5K below average so still in it comfortably. Is this a call btw? I'm unsure about these kind of spots. Looking at this now I really should have called imo, only has 15bb or something so could well be shoving worse I think.

Re: BQ Micromillions #2 Rail Thread

Never calling there IMO.

19bb open shove and no matter what he has your not going to be in great shape. Thats a big open shove, with that stack Id be looking to shove over raises.

Prob calling 66+, AJo+ maybe ATs, KQs possible. Depends on reads too.

Re: BQ Micromillions #2 Rail Thread

Still surviving in event #3, been shortstacked for a while - must have shoved about 10+ times now but not one caller yet so just picking up the blinds every so often to stay alive. About 700 people away from the money so may nit it up and try get over the line. Got 15K now, 33K is the average.

Re: BQ Micromillions #2 Rail Thread

Somehow still in #3, went down to 5K (average was 50K at the time) so I had 4bb but now I've got 90K (average is 70K). Kept getting it in good against some larger stacks and held out each time, even got AA to help me along (first big PP - what a time to get it!). Feels like my day guys

Slightly tempted but it is half 11 here Dan! I want to chill on a night, having to concentrate on one poker table for hours is pretty soul destroying at times. Plus they are soooo boring at the start.

Yeah my sleeping pattern is wrecked too (been going to bed in the early hours of the morning) but need some chill time atm.

Tbh that hand isn't that bad by him when considering these tournies, there are so many fish in these tournies that would call with worse so it's not horrible if he hadn't tagged you as a reg yet.

    Update 2:

Were now on our second break... Didnt win a hand between the first and second :/

Got coolered in a limped pot where i flop the NFD, turn top pair and v. rivers two pair.

    Stack: 8.5k - 300 above average

Other that that, its been silent on the tourney front... Running like dog in cash games however (Fishy villian calls with KK pre after a raise and 2 callers - plays his KK awfully and rivers his two outs against my flush - And then slowrolls me - If i happen to river the nuts too, I will be slowrolling him back, the absolute ****ing ****)

    Update 3:

Third break, and another mini session picking up nothing A) open worth B) Steal worth... Will have to make the most of my nitty image with some agressive blind stealing/restealing in the 4th session.

Stack: 6.5k with the blinds getting close the shove/fold spot... 5600 left, min cash at 2500

Cash games ended up beind a bit of a desaster - ran pretty pants and had the awfully annoying AAvsKK AI PF spot. Plus habing my nut flush done OTR after the board double paired (I ch/f - pretty obviouse v. had the nut boat)
