Hi guys/girls,

I have been playing for a while now but not at a consistent pace. I now have a lot of free time and would like to put a solid effort towards improving my poker game. My biggest faults right now are bankroll management and not really keeping track of my results. I'm going to pretty much stick to live $1/2, and would like to know what a good starting roll would be, as well as how to keep a good visual track of my results and progress. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

$5,000 - 6,000 would be a decent starting roll, more if you aren't currently a winning player. A good app to track results on the iPhone is called Poker Journal, I use it and it has served me well.

www.pokerdominator.com is a free website where you can track your play and results

Also, as far as a proper bankroll is concerned, depends on if you are a winning player or not because only winning players have bankrolls, for everyone else it's an expense.

In any event, assuming you are a winning player, $5k - $6k is a decent enough starting roll.

GL, and become more active posting in 2+2 especially in the LLSNL forum. Lurking is not enough, you need to participate daily. There is a reason why a lot of us winning players have post counts into the thousands.
