Aren't all micro stakes players fish?

I'm not saying that I'm not a fish. But, yeah I sit down on a table on a 4nl and everyone just seems bad.

Literally all the tables are with people with half stacks and even the people with decent stacks are bad.

Personally, I'm a fish as I haven't been able to move up. Mostly because of no bankroll. But, like when does everyone become non fish. Not that I'm complaining.

"I'm a fish as I haven't been able to move up. Mostly because of no bankroll"

I really don't believe it's a weak bankroll that's holding you back.

90% + of people playing at a certain stake are playing there for a reason, because they belong there.

No but most people are fish at these levels. Look at black rain. He played $2nl, $10nl, and $25nl 24 tabling and made about 30k profit. Can a fish do that???

Re: Aren't all micro stakes players fish?

If you sustain yourself at a current limit then you arent a fish at that limit. If you try to move up and get smacked back down, then you are a fish at *that* limit.

I would define a fish as someone who cant adjust to their given limit. There are fish at NL2, and there are "sharks" there too. For instance my g/f cant beat NL25, but she beats NL10 and below. Would I call her a fish? Only if she tried to move up. She doesnt limp A2o and Q7s like the other players at NL10, who are clearly fish and have simply chosen to play there. But she obviously lacks the ability to adjust to the differences at NL25.

someone whos 24tabling 4nl is definitely a fish lol. Fish is everyone who cant beat 50 or 100nl in most players eyes there you see some more competent players but still plenty of fish.
But nothing wrong with being a fish, we play those microstakes to learn so who cares if someone calles you a fish. If i wouldnt be a fish i would be playing 5/10 or something

Re: Aren't all micro stakes players fish?

because no good player would waste his time 24 tabling these penny stakes, unless you live in africa. a good player who wants to learn, improve and reach higher stakes doesnt 24 table these limits. you can see it with this blackrain guy beats the nanomicros but gets crushed at 25nl

Re: Aren't all micro stakes players fish?

Meh i still dont think a losing player is going to be playing 24 tables. And iirc blackrain has 6-7k in profit at 25nl.

Re: Aren't all micro stakes players fish?

he was breakeven at 25nl when ptr did still work over big sample what do you think why hes still playing 5nl.
well definition of fish is different for me, i beat 50nl and i consider myself fish. first step to improving is recognizing how bad we actually are if you cant make a living playing poker you are fish for me.

/btw can i find out with what email i registered a previous account? Cant use my old acc since 2p2 got hacked and i dont remember the email i used to sign up my previous account.
