So by saying " ridiculously boring" you're saying "I'm terribly ignorant". Yes, the game where your VP$IP as an expert is 10% to 20% higher is the more boring of the two games. The game where you make decisions on 4 streets has a lot less happening, compared to shallow NL where the hand is over preflop or on the flop (especially tournaments).
I'll admit to not knowing a lot about NL. Thus, I find the 15-20 hands an hour at a live table to be tedious. You know, the hoody guy and the tank folding bores me. Come on, someone two tables over knows you're never calling that. Oh, we all wait another 5 minutes because it was a
big decision? Another fun staredown? Wow, great poker. My friend the HS NL expert says there's actually a lot going on, and I'm just missing it. Admittedly, he's the expert and I take his word for it. He's also a great LHE player, but plays NL because his hourly is higher. He enjoys both games for different reasons.
You are confirmed playing the currently most popular game. TV told you to play it, and you are. Well done. If you played 10 games well and said "Game X is the most boring" your opinion would have value. (Baduci, btw).
