6-Handed Sit & Go Regular Speed! Tips and Tricks? 6-Handed Sit & Go Regular Speed! Tips and Tricks?

Hello!

I've been playing poker for about a year now, and it's very clear to me that my favorite game is defiantly 6-handed Sit & Gos with regular tempo (not turbo!)

I like that the games aren't so tight as 9-max and there is room for more aggressive and dominant play. I know that the variance in 6-max is bigger (i believe) but that's why i settled down with only 6-max in regular speed because the turbo SnG is just too fast in my opinion.

What some good tips for these SnG's? I got told before that playing tight in the early is a fine strategy but i'm not quite sure. Suggestions for other profitable games are also fine.

1st hand
ok...tbh I'm not sure.

I would have advocating folding here pre but you called...
so based on the flop it appears to be that you are ahead. Your opponent flopped a full
house and you don't know that. The btn is slowplaying this which I think is a good move.

The river, an all-in raise on the river...I'm not gonna say calling is wrong but look at this way you were down to 1000 chips, you could have folded this and re-evaluated and made better moves later on.

EDIT: Actually you need to fold pre here. Even if he hadn't caught a full house you are still behind. T3s is just not a good hand here to be playing you gotta throw away crappy hands pre so you don't end up in awkward hands like this.

I do believe this more of badbeat/variance type deal so I would not put too much into energy into this one.

2nd hand
Throw this hand away on the river, you were check raised. Your flush draw is toast. You had Ace high, your done, even if your trying to bluff. Let it go. Even with the straight draws your hand is pretty much done.

3rd hand

you raise to 45 which I think is a min-raise with QJo - This is my first issue with this hand
I would have thrown this away UTG and under MP or LP I would have opened.

I think what I would have been weary of was the SB betting OOP on the flop. Instead of raising you called which raising here keeps people honest. potential draws here are runner runner straight. The pot was cheap enough to draw on the flop.

The BB betting 150 on the turn this should be a sign that something is up. I also think a raise here would have been a good move as well either min-raise or 3x raise.

BB bets 600 on river which I think is the pot. This hand is toast throw it away or call. Raising all-in here is just bad especially when his hand is complete. If were going to get him to fold you should have done this on the turn.

Maybe I'm wrong but that's just my 2cents.

I play these on ignition the 9mans, they are boring as hell, but you need to play tight early, loose in the late position.

You seem to like going all in with the worst hand in multiway pots. Don't overplay weak trips and bad straights, especially multiway, as you'll run into better hands when the pot gets big. In the early stages, you shouldn't be getting all in without the effective nuts. With medium-strong hands, try checking and calling instead of betting and raising.

When players raise or call a bet pre-flop, it usually means that they have something worth playing with. Try to think about what sorts of hand that might be e.g. broadway type hands or pocket pairs. Then ask yourself whether you're sure you're ahead and play accordingly.
