Re: 2 hands review
Hand 1: Fold pre. If you're going to play, raise. Raise the flop - he can't get away from TP if he's a standard 5NL player. But seriously, fold pre. K5s is absolute trash in early position. Bet bigger OTT, but I can't fault your call OTR - he's often doing this with Ax.
Hand 2: Don't min 3-bet, it achieves nothing. I'm loathe to 3bet an UTG+2 open with JJ anyway. Barrel the turn - about $1.50 is good, and be prepared to vbet most rivers.
Based on these two hands, you seriously need to work on your game. Look at the stickies here and in uNL.

Re: 2 hands review
I'd make it something in the .35-.40 region - 3x the bet is standard but his sizing is small given the texture so you'd want to allow for that.

Fold Pre. K5ss is not a hand you can profitable play from early position. If you make a flush, how are you going to get and value from it? On the flop, raise and make it big. Anyone holding an Ace isnt going away.
Hand 2
Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is BB with J J
2 folds, UTG+2 raises to $0.20, 4 folds, SB calls $0.18, Hero raises to $0.35, UTG+2 calls $0.15, SB calls $0.15

Raise more pre. To about $1. Usually we are raising to 3x the big blind + 1 bb per limper. Why did you check the turn? Bet again. If he raises, you can fold. Otherwise just keep betting. As a general rule, bet until you meet resistence.
You have much work to do young padawan.

Re: 2 hands review
What about this hand
BB: $5.27
UTG: $6.62
UTG+1: $2.06
Hero (MP1): $6.47
MP2: $6.20
CO: $5.20
BTN: $6.05
SB: $5.05
Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is MP1 with Q Q
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.15, MP2 calls $0.15, CO calls $0.15, 3 folds
Flop: ($0.52) Q 3 8 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks, CO bets $0.25, Hero calls $0.25, MP2 folds
Turn: ($1.02) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.85, CO calls $0.85
River: ($2.72) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.80, CO raises to $3.70, Hero raises to $5.22 all in, CO calls $0.25 all in
Final Pot: $10.62
Hero shows Q Q (a full house, Queens full of Eights)
CO shows 8 8 (four of a kind, Eights)
CO wins $10.18
(Rake: $0.44)
Is there any bad play here from my side? Can i possibly call that he had 88? Maybe i should bet more around 0.30 preflop and maybe not check the flop? lol. Was thinking that the only way of getting some value out of it was to slowplay, but i guess thats a rookie mistake?

Re: 2 hands review
Considering it's a dry flop I don't mind slow playing here. I'd c/r rather than lead the turn though. Other than that it seems fine. No, there's no way you could've got away from it - you've got the second nuts!

Re: 2 hands review
Hand 1: Fold preflop. In the micros, do not slowplay. If you flop the nuts, value bet. The BB bet $0.10 into you, raise him.
Hand 2: Being OOP, I may just flat with JJ against an EP raise and make decisions on the flop. However, if the player is opening alot from EP, then 3 bet, but 3 bet more. In this spot, I would 3 bet to about $0.90. You can keep betting, or you could slow down for pot control on the turn, but I'm not going to fold to a bet there. If you check, you have to know he's betting alot of hands there. You are inducing a bet when you check, so if you are inducing the bet, you can't fold to it.
Hand 3: In the micros and you flop the nuts, do not slowplay. You raised preflop, you are likely to bet post flop with your whole range. Bet and keep betting until the board gets scary. The river is just unlucky, you had the second nuts and getting all in is not a mistake, but your play before the river was problematic.
Slowplaying in the micros is usually bad. In the micros the formula is simple: flop the nuts --->get fat value. That's it. the little bits of value you pick up on mediocre hands here and there will keep you afloat, but in the micros the problem that most players have is calling way too much, so you don't need to worry too often about thin value spots, but you must not pass up value when you have the nuts.

Re: 2 hands review
that last hand - why did you check the flop? You were the pre flop raiser and its expected that you will cbet. Here you should be doing it to build a pot, you have top set. Even after you check, when villain bets, raise ! get the money in while you are ahead. I dont understand why you check call the flop but lead the turn. Your play looks totally random. How long have you been playing? What have you read/learned? If you keep playing *this* way, you will go bust.

Re: 2 hands review
Been playing for about a week, which you might notice ^^. Slowplaying is the reason I checked, for him to maybe hit a two pair or something (no clue what I'm getting at).
If you don't mind I have 2 more hands I'm pretty confused about, so take a look!
BB: $1.69
UTG: $5.44
UTG+1: $7.73
UTG+2: $2.82
MP1: $4.23
MP2: $1.93
CO: $8.74
Hero (BTN): $5.81
SB: $8.06
Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is BTN with 5 5
6 folds, Hero raises to $0.15, 1 fold, BB raises to $0.25, Hero calls $0.10
Flop: ($0.52) 3 5 J (2 players)
BB bets $0.05, Hero raises to $0.25, BB raises to $0.45, Hero raises to $1.75, BB calls $0.99 all in
Turn: ($3.40) 8 (2 players - 1 is all in)
River: ($3.40) A (2 players - 1 is all in)
Final Pot: $3.40
BB shows K J (a flush, Ace high)
Hero shows 5 5 (three of a kind, Fives)
BB wins $3.26
And
UTG+1: $5.33
UTG+2: $3.00
MP1: $2.43
Hero (MP2): $5.72
CO: $12.50
BTN: $3.99
SB: $25.61
BB: $5.07
UTG: $5.00
Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is MP2 with 3 3
4 folds, Hero calls $0.05, 1 fold, BTN raises to $0.15, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, BTN calls $0.15
Flop: ($0.67) 4 5 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.45, BTN calls $0.45
Turn: ($1.57) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.35, Hero calls $0.35
River: ($2.27) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.40, BTN raises to $2.89 all in, Hero calls $1.49
Final Pot: $8.05
Hero shows 3 3 (a straight, Deuce to Six)
BTN shows 5 5 (a full house, Fives full of Fours)
BTN wins $7.72
This one is pretty wierd, I should get out after him calling my raise after the flop? I put him on 77+

Re: 2 hands review
instead of posting hand after hand - why not read all the stickies and get stuck into the concept of the week posts so you can learn some poker theory rather than just clicking buttons

Ye been reading but it's kinda overwhelming to learn all of it in a couple of days, so rather just have people point me in the right direction after playing like a total fish.

Re: 2 hands review
You can get all you need from the forums to get better, but if you want it all in the same place, get Crushing the Micro Stakes by Blackrain79. From what I can see, you need to get a real understanding of position and bet sizing under you belt and then start putting it into practice. Some of the hands you post are essentially coolers when you look at the end result, but you might have avoided them if you had acted differently at the other streets.

Re: 2 hands review
Grunch -
Hand 1: fold pre, as played raise flop, as played bet turn bigger, as played fold river.
Especially fold pre and don't open limp, your preflop play here was awful.
Hand 2: either raise properly to 80c or better IMO call and set mine. As played don't bet flop. Agree with fold.
Especially correct your raise sizing, this min raise is bad.
