Valley Forge Casino Resort - How'd they get my info?

First off, I should probably state that I'm not complaining since the offer was pretty gosh darn good that they mailed me, but I was curious where exactly they got the information from.

Earlier this week myself and my mother (different zip codes. same state.) received an offer from Valley Forge Casino Resort. Mine was 500 in bonus slot dollar AND 250 in food credit! Hers was 250 in bonus slot dollars.

Now I don't play slots at all and we don't play at the same casinos either. So I'm curious how they got our information. When I inquired about it to the rewards desk they said:

"A marketing company"

Yeah, no shat. Though I was under the assumption when I signed up for a players card at B&M casinos my information wouldn't be given away or sold to other casinos?

Help fill in the blank pllleeease!

Casinos all know who plays what limits and what amounts. They share the info with their alliance member casinos, and sell the info to marketing companies that resell the info over and over. Valley Forge knows how much you lost last year playing and where you lost it. They also know your income, the value of your home, the name of your first girlfriend, and how many guys she's been with since she dumped you for that other dude.

VFCR has hired Bally Technology Las Vegas, to run their ops and casino management, tracking and transaction systems. They are bigtime, and their data-base certainly has a lot of info on all of us. Not to be confused with Harrahs/Ceasars CET, who own the Bally Casino, keeping the Bally name when they acquired it. Bally Entertainment Corp was the original parent corp of that casino, started when they acquired the original MGM Grand (post 1980 fire).

This makes a heck of a lot of sense. Hopefully more casinos pop up and more offers come out like this soon!

they don't even have poker. Their too small and irrelevant to put a real dent into the market share of Parx, Harrahs and Sugarhouse.
