From there I have been dabbling around with other games, mainly double double bonus which seems to be my favorite ...

and

ding ding ding ding

However with no points or any sort of offers from play on the site continuing to play on there is going to be a losing proposition......

Yeah definitely ran pretty hot to start off, 3 royal flushes within about 10k hands I would estimate..

Moved my play over to the live casino lately, unfortunately Vegas and Vancouver have been pretty stingy..

Grinded a ton of quarters DDB and have had enough 4OAK's to keep making some $$$ but the variance can be pretty sick...Got maximum VIP level at my local casino's and now working on M Life in Vegas.

Its definitely been a learning process but anyways some fun hands from last weekend

Plopping along at .25 DDB when .. !

Maybe 20 hands later and...

Hit a few more 4OAK in that session and then on the way home from work for a quick session and

Nice hits Bradley.

I will be in Vegas for a week in about 10 days time, staying at the Monte Carlo. Anyone know of any good machines .25 denom that are near there ? Would prefer if I could get M life rewards as well.

Last time I was there was November but didn't see anything good anywhere on the strip for $1 and lower. I just casually looked though because I was out there to play poker. VPFree2 is probably your best bet.

Yeah ..might have to go down to Old Town and find some better machines. That or perhaps I can scout around and hopefully find a high progressive.

Is there a place or way to calculate when a vp machine with progressives becomes +EV to play?

Keep in mind that most of the 'over 100%' is coming from hitting the royal. The royal in your case will probably be worth 3-4%. Which basically means that when you don't hit that royal, running optimally is going to be 96-97% payback.

Yes. You need some video poker software. For years I've used Winpoker, Frugal Video Poker and Wolf Video Poker.

Winpoker is outdated. It doesn't have a strategy generating component. Frugal and Wolf do. Wolf Video Poker is an updated version of Frugal Video Poker with a lot more bells and whistles on it.

You can go to the Wolf Video Poker website and download Frugal Video Poker for FREE. It's a good starting point. Here's an example of what you can do.

Go into the Machines menu, click on choose machine. Punch up 9/6 Jacks or Better. It will show a return of 99.54%. Go back into the Machines menu and click on change payoff table. Change the payout for the royal from 4000 coins to 4880 coins, then click on Analyze. It will take a few seconds to analyze then show you a return of 100%.

You can do this with any game to find the payback percentage according to how many coins are in the royal.

I had about a 1% advantage

Base game 98.49%
Meter move 1%
Cashback 0.3%
Progressive 1.2%

Mailers might be like 0.5%-0.75%

Post #1187 is Photoshopped. The player has 5 coins inserted and wins $4,000 (the jackpot for 4 coins). The jackpot for a royal, no deuces, with 5 coins inserted is $16,000.

Either it's 'shopped or you got ripped off by $12,000

hint: the max bet isn't 5 coins.

Yup someone isn't paying attention to the columns. Look at the bottom payouts and realize your mistake.

Notice it says Bet 5 on one picture and Bet 20 on another.

Here's another shopped pic from Sunday.

Post 1187 is not photoshopped. The game is called Not So Ugly Deuces 99.73%. The player was payed 4000 coins for making 4 deuces on a 20 coin bet. That's a payoff of 200 for 1. The picture in post 1195 is also NSUD. The player was payed 2000 coins for making 4 deuces with a 10 coin bet. That's also a 200 for 1 payoff. Same game just different bet size.

I only play when promotions are good. Nothing good this month so won't be playing much. A few days to keep up monthly offers I suppose.

Based on points, I've run through $500K coin in this year. A PLO friend has 4* that much already..
