Re: OK, I'm in the Well

Did you ever meet an AP bj player named George in the 70s? He was very successful, worked alone though, looked different from just about every other counter. [Not sure if he went by George then, however...]

After a few years he went to WallSt and made a large fortune.

Not a lot of information there ... Only George I recall was from England. He quit playing and opened a club in Jakarta, which he then lost in the revolution. Not sure where he went after that. A lot of players turned to Wall Street as the game tightened.

Re: OK, I'm in the Well

What kind of advice would you give a person who is interested in getting into Casino APing?

Lets assume this person has a bankroll, and experience as an AP betting sports, but nothing else.

I would stick with what you're doing, expand your access by developing relationships with offshore sites -- and venture into soccer (assuming you haven't and you're comfortable with it). If you haven't established legitimate offshore banking accounts, go through the (arduous) process. To seriously play you'll need contacts with several legitimate books outside the US, and be communicating on a personal level, not through websites.

What advice would you give to a poker player who Wongs part time in 6 decks just using hi-lo and the stAndard 18/4 indices, that would like to get deeper into the game. How do you find and connect with others that you could team up with?

I pm'd you previously under my old account name.

That's actually a pretty strong game. I wouldn't invest any more time improving the game, just trying to get more play time. It's hard enough to find partners -- I don't know how you would do it on a part-time angle unless you go to other poker players. My advice would be to look at other opportunities if you plan to invest more time -- this one is dying.

Should be pasted to the top of this board and closed if it's going to be closed. I don't think there's a gambler alive who wouldn't want to read this shouldn't let it slip off the 1st page.

Heck, if there's anything I've learned from viewing this forum it's if I think something SheetWise doesn't I should strongly re-evaluate my position.
