I don't know what you should say. It depends on your history with them and your demeanor for the most part. I'd guess just telling the story basically like it is, "Usually don't play much but some friends were in town and wanted to play, I played with them and we sat at a really lucky table, what's the problem?" and then deny anything after. I don't think it's going to make much difference either way but I doubt admitting to anything will help your cause.

I'm pretty surprised you're smart enough to notice they were dealing to you differently but not smart enough to figure out that's a sign that this could be not "not a big deal". I don't fault you much for going to play with your buddies but think you pretty much asked for it when you took it to the point where they changed their game based on your play and you still didn't take the hint and put in a seven hour session. GL though.
We only played 2-3 shoes when they started boxing more cards. We were also down most of the session, I think we pulled even and then up in the 3rd to last shoe.

The funny thing is, we played on Mon night, then my other 2 friends went back on Tues and I didn't go. They didn't even get backed off then while they were there in person. But then the next day I found my acct. was frozen.

This seems so weird.

How "obvious" is it when someone counts cards? Is it the fact that they played for like 7 freaking hours and walked away a winner???

It can't be the money amount.

There are tells -- especially with beginners, but even among experienced players. They nod like a bobble head doll while following the dealer, their lips move, they count on their fingers ... all subconsciously, of course.

I was going to guess that they probably aren't very talkative as well...

Probably the best tell is that their bets vary with the count and reset at the shuffle.

Really? Well, I mean I know the answers to the questions but you don't get it? You're playing a game where skilled play can get you barred if noticed, they basically tell you, "we noticed it", you don't take the hint, and now you're worried about maybe getting a property ban from poker and the like? You think it's hard to be serious over asking why the guy didn't take the obvious hint if he had those concerns?

Yes, I have not been there since. However, apparently if your account frozen while you are staying there on comped rooms that you booked 6 weeks in advance you lose your comped rooms and get charged for those nights. This legit happened by the way, I just opened my AmEx bill and seen a charge from FW! When I called, nobody knew their ass from their elbow! So I filed a claim with AmEx last night to get the charges removed!

We were actually quite obnoxious and usually are. I was drinking a little, because I do not need to be @ the top of my game obviously!

Re: Foxwoods BJ: Getting backed off???

Yeah, never a good idea to play a long session, especially when you're in the high limit room for wherever you are since the action there is watched more closely and it's usually less crowded so you can't blend into the crowd.

They can tell by your play and betting patterns fairly easily if you are counting or not if you're not using any type of cover.

I would've just talked to the manager and just act like I didn't know what he was talking about, but just be polite and accept whatever decision he has made. Nothing you do or say will change his mind at that point anyways. And even if they are convinced you weren't counting, they figure you were with someone who was. Guilt by association.

Re: Foxwoods BJ: Getting backed off???

I can pretty much tell a counter...or wannabe-counter...in 10 minutes or less most times. It's pretty damn obvious in a lot of different ways for about 99% of them. It almost never involves the lips moving thing.

Follow their eyes and their bet sizing. That's pretty much it. If you want to avoid detection you have to control your eyes somewhat for your counting and you have to know when to take certain steps with your bet sizing too.
