Seems like a lot of work and money invested if the total value isn't more than $750.
I have seen the number of 17 per hour tossed around but I do not know if that is accurate at all casinos. I believe each one or area is different.

As for the work required to get the rewards. You are right that it is costly and time consuming to do this, but for us it is kind of like an adventure plus it is a way and a reason to take some weekend trips this summer. For me it is my wife and I so we really get 150k rewards.

I am a little disappointed that everything seems to be 2 for 1 rewards but on the other hand if it were 1 for 1 and I was getting 40k for the trips I would be doing the trips as well.

Unless there is a way to convert this to cash at a better rate the real value here is under $400.

Which makes this not so great. I didn't do it last year for the same reason. I couldn't find any reasonable way to actually get full value out of the points.

there's probably some gift shops that sell something like gold coins or jewelry or something that is close to an instrument of value

The ones I am concerned about are

Ontario
Cleveland
St. Louis
Chester
AC
Southern Indiana
Metropolis
Cherokee NC
I can confirm at Ceasars Windsor (Ontario) does have a promotional kiosk. This was one of the spots I hit up last year. In fact I crossed the border for about 25 minutes and came back which I assume was a little suspicious...

Can't you trade total reward points in for hotel stays at Harrahs properties at a rate of 1:1? I know it's not available online but I believe I heard that after you book your stay if you go up to the hotel front desk they can just take it off your total reward points?

Do all of these locations have poker rooms? I'm particularly interested in Metropolis, KC, and Elizabeth IN.

KC and Elizabeth (Horseshoe Southern Indiana) both have poker rooms. They're both on BravoPokerLive and both claim to have a single NL1/2 game running as I type this (at 4:30am PDT).

Someone should work out an optimal traveling salesman solution for a driving tour of Harrah's casinos with poker rooms to maximize checkpoints with a minimum of miles. I was contemplating doing such a thing a couple months ago just for the helluvit 'cause I was trapped in the midwest for a couple weeks with a rental car and spare time, but I found other ways to amuse myself.

So looking at the promotion I have a few destinations that I can easily make, being from California.

Northern Nevada (1)
Southwest Region (2)
Southern Nevada (3)

For a total of 6 CheckPoints and earn $100.

Sounds like this would be easier in the Midwest.

yeah its definitely a tougher promo for the west coast. I have to make a real effort to make the drives but they are at least possible without a flight involved.

Re: CET Great Race to Rewards 2012 For 75000 TR Points ($750 Value)

Thank you Jesus this is back and already a thread for it. I'm open for trading cards ..

I have UP TO 3 cards to exchange (but can just do one if needed) and can get:

- Harrahs Chester/Philly for 2 points
- Harrahs Atlantic City for 2 points.

So yes, I can get you 4 points total.

Please PM me if you are already familiar with this and how it works. Please DO NOT PM me if you have a bunch of questions about the logistics unless you are serious about trading!

Thanks!

General responses to questions:

Metropolis has a poker room??

If they do, I did NOT see it there last summer.

As for kiosks, I did not see any of those at Metropolis either. St. Louis has a kiosk.

Hotels in Tunica and other places are $1 per 100 RCs. It's only the food court in Harrah's Tunica that is $1 for 200 RCs. Just use cash if you want to really eat there. Buffets are still $1 for 100 RCs.

As for value, the best value for low rollers is using points for hotels if your Vegas trips, etc. aren't entirely comped. Buying the "Buffet of Buffets" while in Vegas using RCs is also a very good value.

Live poker is 17 Tier Credits/hr as long as you play 1/2 NL or 3/6 Limit or higher (2/4 limit is only 8 Tier Credits/hr).

Oh, and another thing:

Collected Vegas already. No kiosks there either. Dude asked for my g/f's b-day. And asked for my license since he said it it had an expiration date in the past. Fraud will be much more difficult to pull off.

This is interesting...Do we have any confirmation of whether or not you need to swipe in at EVERY location, or just one?
