Lol I never offered to do it for you. I was simply refuting your boneheaded claim that it couldn't be done.

JSTAT you've been around as long as Hall and Tamburin. You were on Rec.Gambling usenet the same time they were.

I like Jstat and his refusal to accept received wisdom. For the same reason I like truthers because we need more people who instinvtively distrust government. Unfortunately in both cases their alternative ideas don't check out.

Btw He's right about Griffin. Griffin crapped out a few paragraphs on baccarat in an afternoon and must have devoted 1% of his considerable intellect to it. There at least five major errors in his work. Unfortunately, again, I suspect JSTAT has no idea what those errors are.

"Average edge" means nothing.

Solve by experiment:

Imagine game A: 1% edge on every hand.

Compare with game B, 100% edge 1% of the time, nothing otherwise.

Both have the same average edge, game B is 100 times more profitable to the gambler.

Repeat after me, average edge means nothing.

I've tried to explain this very simple concept politely to him on numerous occassions, but he really is a very stupid man. Garden variety nerd that can't think outside the box, thinks endless tables and numbers validate poor conceptual thinking, tedious.
I agree, still Jacobsen is one of the few who demonstrated that baccarat side bets are really beatable.

One thing for sure: to beat baccarat a player needs a lot of time to find out the real profitable situations.
It's just a matter of finite decks' composition.
