100% rigged

This thread is absolutely horrible.

1. You cannot work out whether a game is rigged by a small sample of play, so all those people saying that on the basis of a negative streak are full of ****. I once lost 24 hands in a hour at a completely legitimate operation (I made 50K+ there).
Where you get into real alien lizard **** conspiracy-level stuff is that if they only cheat high-rollers or some other class of players it isn't really possible to tell at all.

2. The Wizard Of Odds endorsement does not mean ****. Let's ignore the fact that he's a casino consultant and has a vested financial interest and assume he's honest. That being the case he may be competent with number-crunching (some would even argue that but I prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt) then he'd have to be motivated to run a test for bias. I'm not sure he's ever done that.

Had he ever run a test then it still doesn't mean very much because the guy has all the street smarts of a choirboy. I remember very early in his career there were complaints about very obvious cheating at one of his recommended casinos. He tested it and published the results, declaring it fair. The complainants pointed out that they knew who he was and were practicing bait-and-switch. He then played under another account and this time acknowledged the cheating.

In short you can't trust any one so amazingly ****ing clueless about human nature.

So is Bovada blackjack rigged? Probably not. Most online casinos don't cheat for the very obvious reason casino games are set to an optimum psychological balance of profit and payback to beging with. The money I've made over time strongly backs up that assertion.

GBV,
Would you care to share how you made 50K ? Was this online ?
Good information on the history of Wizard of Odds. I have never claimed that anything is rigged. I only claimed that it did not seem random. I came here asking how one might prove this one way or the other. I keep hearing "sample size" and "sample size" , however, I haven't seen anything on what a legitimate sample size would be and if I had it (which I likely do) what information am I looking for ?

The 50K was just money from that one casino over a protracted period of time due mainly to attractive promotional offerings which no longer exist anywhere online currently.

The reason you never hear of a number attached to sample size is that it depends very much what you are looking for. Very large deviations from expectation can be detected in a few hundred hands-accuracy to hundredths of % takes millions of trials.
If you want to understand how to run a test it is npq standard deviation and any decent maths/stats site will give you an explanation. If you just want a quick answer use the calculator at beatingbonuses.com.

this thread is classic
1)a bunch of people with 3 posts swearing it's rigged

2)"i lost an emense amount of money over 45000 hands"

no **** it would be odd if you didnt

3)who wants to join my lawsuit?

4)it's rigged that's why they're off shore!

Yes bc the US allows honest online casinos only.

5)"the majority of the time I crush it at live blackjack"

You and everyone else in the casino buddy.

my first post, so I realize it will come off as suspect. But I'm legit. Did a lot of reading, lots of practicing via app and on the pC over the last few weeks. Based on wizardofodds recommendation/advertising, I signed up at Bovado for blackjack. Deposited $500. In less than 48 hours was able to turn it into $1500. No real system other than sticking to wizardofodds strategy cards (opened in another tab) for every hand. And randomly going from $10, to $15, to $25 (If I lost $25 I'd immediately double to $50, if I lost that $50 I'd go to $75. Once I won I'd drop back down to $10 or $15. I truly didn't use any real progression..just kind of went with the flow. tripled my money but I'm fully assuming I simply got lucky. I stopped at the $1500 and clicked the "withdraw" option to cash out.

TO me, it didn't seem rigged. But again, my first time.

FWIW, I have played there plenty and I agree with him.

This thread is just a bunch of sore losers, IMO.

I believe I am running slightly below EV for a decent sample (I have not kept good records, but something near 100k hands), but nothing to be suspicious about. I nearly always play with an active bonus and have made a profit.
