Blackjack odds question

what are the odds of...

getting 4 aces of the same colour in a single hand of black jack? (8 deck shoe)

getting 5 aces of any colour in a single hand of black jack? (8 deck shoe)

I know this is wrong but I started off by doing this:

32/416 x 15/415 x 14/414 x 13/413

and 32/416 x 31/415 x 30/414 x 29/413 x 28/412

but this doesn't take into account other cards that you can get incidentally within the hand

Re: Blackjack odds question

I don't think you can do the math in any real workable way and probably would need to use simulation. The probability sub-forum is prob a better bet to try to get somebody to do it for you.

I mean even if you use hit until you bust strategy you've still also got to take in the number of times you're not allowed to draw to it because the dealer has blackjack.

Re: Blackjack odds question

I have cross posted this in the probability forum too

I just want to know because both of these happened in a single hand of black jack last night (10 cards, 5 aces, the first 4 were black)

if I had played the side game for £1 I would have won a £65,000 jackpot
