Sic-Bo Sic-Bo

I live and work in a country between Turkey, Russia, Syria, and Iran. I dont make much but I enjoy my work. Planning on gambling it up before I head back home for the holidays.

Found out than none of the three casinos in the capital have craps, which is my -EV game of choice. They do, however, have Sic-Bo which looks simular but seems to play loke a cross between Roulette and Crown & Anchor Tand yes I did spend some time at Wiz of Odds).

So to get my dice fix, anyone have any pro tips? Just play high/low and thow in a hop spread if I feel a little randy? Buy dice numbers? Chuck chips in random places? Im a total n00b with this game...

Make sure you track the dice rolls and then bet on whatever numbers are hot, and if that doesn't work bet the numbers that are due. Also look for patterns in the results, certain sequences of numbers from several hours before will most likely hit again (do note that you must not leave the table at any time during these several hours, but if you need to use the bathroom make sure you have someone reliable tracking the rolls while you are gone). If someone who looks lucky bets on 4,5,16, or 17 (or any triple), make sure you get on that! They probably know something you don't.

But seriously, don't play this game. It's painfully boring.

Just throw green chips on hi and lo in equal amounts, avoid all triples, and you'll be raking in comp dollars like they're going out of style

I love playing sic-bo, but it has been awhile since moving away from the "lucky" games to the skill games.

I prefer to pick numbers on the bottom row. 1-6 Do the math and you can quickly figure out why some numbers pay out so much when there is like only 2 ways to hit that number. figure out the combo of dice you need for whatever you are hitting and cover those number. Like say you need 3-2-5 for "10" "3-2" dice only... then dont put your money on a 4 or a 6 or bet high... you are cutting into your profits. Put your money on the combo accordingly. That way when she lights up the board... you got your low covered, your individual numbers covered.. and hopefully the "10" covered for a nice paycheck.

Another simple example.. if you want: 3-1-2. "6" Obviously a small.. so dump a ton on low, and on those numbers only.

Or you could cover your loses but its not so great... bet mid-range.

or you could dump $40 on high... but cover the numbers 1, 2, just incase it goes low so you get some of your loss back from the big bet. But you are spinning your wheels doing that... not making any progress.

Yes triples do show up.. and I have hit it many times for $750 USD. throwing down $25 to hit it.

Avoid the table if it has the box, and the lady shakes once while everyone is setting the bets and then does it again after no more bets can be placed... to me that is just bad karma. If the "dealer" leaves the results of the previous.. waits till everyone sets the bets and then either shakes or flips the dice ( the cage)... I think its better for some strange reason.

If its the chuck-a-luck with a felt table they have removed ALLOT of the number combinations from a sic-bo table... that should be plastic with lights underneath. The odds are worse on chuck ...just go with high/low patterns and hope for the best.

Just remember... the dice dont remember anything... it really is a total crap shoot...but can be fun if it runs hot. BET BIG, WIN BIG. $2 aint gonna make your heart pump.

Me and some buddies played Sic-Bo in Vegas last summer. We just got drunk and would throw our red or green chips in the air and bet on whatever they landed on. We'd usually also put $5 on the super long shots that paid 180-1 or whatever. We hit one of the lesser long shots and I think we won a couple hundred and I'm sure were complete pains in the ass and would have been ran off if we weren't tipping extremely well. I don't think it would be a fun game to sit and play for hours but for 20-30 minutes it's a good spot to get some free drinks and gamble a bit.
