Not so much a business idea as an opportunity to make a quick buck:

Buy Anonymous/V for Vendetta masks online in bulk, for example for ~200$/100 masks here
http://www.tradetang.com/for-sale/to...-2536275.html#

Go to places where they might be popular (I thought of it after seeing one at a dubstep/dnb party) and sell them for say 5$ - a net profit of 3.2$.

The party I went too had 7k people, it doesn't seem outrageous to think you might sell 100, that's a profit of 320$ for a couple of hours of work.

Thoughts?

Depending on your country, freight, import tax, import duty, risking the quality of the product being terrible & copyright protection on this product (warner bros?).

Other idea was a website that interviewers can leave constructive feed back to people who have applied for different job.
Did I hear there is a way to outsource an app? and split profits?

thx for your reply

import tax/duty. i was under the assumption buying from there was the same as buying from amazon (so tax already included i guess?) - is that wrong?

terrible quality is a risk indeed, but then again for that type of sales it doesn't need to be that good

copyright protection: is it my responsibility as the buyer to make sure they have the necessary permissions?

This seems to be a pretty easy way to make money:

Can't you just use a dropshipper on a product you find that has a >50% markup?

I am sorry. I am so used to people trolling on these forums I assumed you were as well.

The biggest problem is getting the masks in the party/rave/dance/concert/etc. Any type of public event is not going to allow you to sell merchandise without prior consent. Most likely you are going to have to pay a fee and it is going to make your idea not profitable.

If you are able to sell them I can see you easily making a quick buck. I know if I was at a rave and I saw someone selling that mask for $5 I might shell it out.

I didnt check if your site is chinese but I assume it is. For example: I am in England, I import things from China. I do not know about your country but I must pay 20% & whatever the duty is, sometimes duty is 0%. This will be the same when importing from most foreign countries.

Everything is your responsibility, i'm not saying you wouldn't get away with this 9/10 times but there is at least a small chance of your shipment being seized because it is "fake" goods. Also this probably doesn't apply to you but you wouldn't be able to sell these on a place like ebay they would get taken down.

The guy above also has reasons this wouldnt work but they are completely different to mine, so now you have 2 problems to worry about.

Please let me know where you're finding dropship suppliers for >50% margin. Most I've worked with are no higher than 30%

not sure if this has been posted already, but regarding a "real-life HUD" this is something that Google actually has been working on for some time - pretty much unlimited possibilities here...presumably the implication is that Google will create the platform upon which developers can build.

Interesting article about 3 German brothers whose whole business revolves around copying US startups. They are the guys behind Ebay/Groupon/Zappos/Facebook/Youtube clones - many of which became 100 million dollar businesses.

“What people have to realize is the idea is the easy part, and that execution is the hard part, and Marc and Oli are the best operators I’ve ever seen in my life—they’re just inhuman,” he said. Says Oliver: “Groupon taught us about the business, and we taught them about internationalization.” He stresses that company-clone relationships often become symbiotic. “It’s not necessarily in the blood of every American to go abroad, but it’s in the blood of every European to go abroad.”

MANGA!!!!!!!!!

Here are some ideas I scribbled down the other day. No idea if they're good. No idea what else out there exists. Just dumping out stuff I scribble down.

Understand that the first one won't make sense because you had to be at dinner with me.

1) Is there any way to outsource the awesome customer service we just got to other restaurants? Seriously.
2) A consulting service that simply calculate LTV for your customers
3) Or, for that matter, identifying single points of failure
4) A service that allows restaurants to "push" for Yelp! reviews and the like, maybe through integrating with Square since they can collect emails upon payment, and reward customers for leaving honest feedback.
5) A "Does My Idea Exist?" service
6) A CRM focused solely on keeping you in touch with people like friends, family, mentors who don't leave near you (for introverts/bad friends)
7) Online platform for HS/AAU coaches to exchange game film

1) shrug
2) isn't that just appraisers?
3) shrug
4) shrug
5) http://www.noroip.com/ only thing i can think of, this seems like its potentially a valid space. but i'm not sure how you'd start such a database, let alone create algorithms to search through it a la google of "ideazation."
6) don't see much value in this
7) doesn't seem very scalable given the budgets of most hs coaches and access to advanced equipment.

One night when my friends were drunk we were looking at pictures of boobs...

We would zoom in on the goods and then say if she was ****able or not. We would zoom out of the picture and then be surprised by an ugly girl/guy or a hot girl.

Not the most innovative idea, but an idea that has not been done and that I would like to capitalize on. Should I shell out the dough for starting costs or does it seem like I will lose my investment?

Anybody have problems with other 2+2ers coming in and copying ideas from this thread. I am super nervous about writing this and then somebody executing the idea.

create a dating app that uploads or scan peoples music/movies/tvshows on their iphone/android etc and matches them with other similar media minded folks.

I'll take a jab at it:

How about mixing the sex industry with the educational/online tutoring industry. I'm thinking of a website that hires smart, sexy girls that are able to/can teach just about any university-level courses and make videos on a specific subject (ex: Calculus I- Derivatives).

It will basically have all the basic functions of a online poker training site; however, the site will offer potential/current customers a fun and somewhat more "relaxed" type of teaching style where they could pay a monthly-fee to watch already recorded videos, one-on-one live-chat tutoring that could done in groups, or, for those who are really struggling and are willing to pay more, could set up "private" tutoring with a sexy teacher of their choice.

Obviously there is also a little entertainment involved, if you know what I mean. But that's the point: your potential customers will vastly vary. You will have people who would pay just to **** around, or those who really want to learn through our method of teaching, and those who are somewhere in between.

The targeted customers would be men 18-late twenties (freshmen-graduate). Price ranges depend on class difficulty and how popular the girl is (supply/demand concept), and time as well(live chats).

Topless tutors straight outta Van Wilder? I like it. As someone who had some money to blow in college and skipped my fair share of class, I probably would have used it on a few occasions. I know most of my friends in college were pretty broke, not sure what the overall demographics of college males are as far as finances are concerned, but this could probably at least be a successful niche product.
