Working at a Casino with a CJ degree?

I'm in my mid-twenties and am currently a manager at a popular retail store.

I hold a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in marketing. After college, I became I marketing director for a sports supplement company I was doing freelance work for at the time. In Sept, 2010 I left due to some ethical concerns within the industry and have been at my current job since Jan, 2011.

I'd like to use my degree, but don't have interest in public jobs (tax funded) other than maybe forestry patrol or something similar.

I've been tossing around the idea of applying for different security-related jobs at casinos, and just applied to one at the MC Casino in Detroit. - Does anyone have any first-hand knowledge of these jobs, how the inner-workings of casinos operate, or anyone I can talk to via email about any opportunities?

I'd love to discuss this further with some people that have more insight, but don't directly know anyone I can speak with.

Try cross-posting this in the Brick + Mortar forum: lots of card room employees post there and may be of help.
