So not everyone had the same advantages. Bill Gates was a product of his environment, obviously the guy was ruthless as hell and allowed him to stay around, but its hard to argue that his initial success came from factors of luck.
This is like saying...
The guy who laid 500 beautiful women...
Was "lucky" or just "handsome" or whatever.
In reality...
The successful guy charmed these women...
And used advanced social skills to be attractive...
And scored one at a time... over and over.
Business is similar to that.
You make 100s of CREATIVE decisions every year...
Each of them quite distinctive....
And after the cumulative effect of 1000 decisions...
After 5-10 years you have a successful business.
Bill Gates made countless brilliant decisions...
And if put back at Square One and age 20...
Would become a zillionaire all over again.
I know a billionaire personally...
These guys are brilliant and unstoppable.
And if Mr. Gates happened to read your post...
He would conclude that you have never run a business.
