i wanna open an acc on a btc betting site i.e nitrogensports but i live in aus and buying bitcoin is kinda a bitch here (to open an acc you need to provide photo ID and stuff and i don't have a scanner for doing that) so i'm wondering if theres anyone here that i can send a small amount (10-15usd) to on stars in exchange for the equivalent (or slightly less - happy to pay a transfer fee ~8%) in btc?

I would like to take a small short position on Ether mostly for fun, but don't want any funds tied up in margin; if anyone here is interested in taking the other side of any such bet, please let me know and we can work out details.

I was messing around with ethereum back in nov. I like that they use a pseudo javascriptish language. I bet if it caught on with the hipster webdev community they would start using it for everything (regardless of whether it makes sense). Imagine everything gamified to spend/win ether. Buying ads with ether. Tipping cam whores with ether. The possibilities are endless.

Kraken for me...mainly because I don't trust myself creating a proper and secure ethereum address so for the time being I just leave it in my Kraken account.

Poloniex is a good exchange as well.

The value of XRP is the same as the value of anything. Since there is no objective unit of measure the value of an asset is defined by what it can buy at the time you want to sell it.

XRP is a claim on a portion of the value of the float. So as the network grows...

XRP being "phased out" by locally defined key value pairs creates profits for the network as the LCM is always 1 Ripple.

Very quiet here! ETH taking new ATH, $7.5. Bitcoin blocks full when Ethereum can handle 100tps+ and soon will have sharding scaling it a few magnitudes higher. Bitcoin transactions taking hours now, ETH soon switching to POS with 4s blocks and 0% inflation. And microsoft entering the game:
