Easy poker analogy... If you fold a low pocket pair PF and you see you would have hit a set and would have stacked someone, do you feel bad for folding?
More seriously, I track everything I have ever sold out of. It helps you learn.

Whisky also helps when you didn't get that set of trips on the flop because there was a raise and reraise preflop before it was your turn to act.

So did VRX hit rock bottom (price) last week? Seems to be good news from them (cutting debt) and decent earnings. The volume after earnings is absolutely crushing it and there are more than a few people short (squeeze potential) to help give it another boost... seems like a good risk/reward spot here.

I too am in the SHOP and WIX camp... stellar moves!

Another tip of the cap to the first to tip off NVTR in here. Still long and strong.

I sold my NVTR. Burning cash so quick and I have them taking at least another year to get to breakeven

Interested in buying some NTS but is there any way around paying a relatively high % in transaction fees when buying low-priced stocks? Any recommended brokers?

Limit order a large block? I have no idea how your broker's fees are set, but with a 76k daily average on a 1.25 stock you might as well put in a large limit order a cent above the current market price and just wait

Some guy had a good write-up on VIC a few months ago about how ETP was going to buy PTXP. I guess ETP was waiting for its merger with SXL to go through because they put in the offer today.

Has anyone looked at BlackBerry (BBRY) and their decision to go full security (software, OS and consulting) software instead of keeping their manufacturing wing?

There is a big market for security but don't think they have a great edge compared to other in the field. What do you all think?

GNC looks interesting. Very beaten down stock and has been a poorly run business, but began implementing a new strategy at the end of last year and popped ~30% on earnings in Q1 only to subsequently sell-off. Interesting comments in the earnings call transcript re: revised business strategy. After Q1 earnings, there was lots of buying from insiders and yet it still has one of the highest short float % out there. Presumably the insiders are buying for a reason, and yet the shorts haven't really reacted.

I'm not advocating it as a long term hold, but I think it could be an interesting swing trade since a lot of ingredients are there for a nice short squeeze assuming good Q2 earnings. Worth monitoring going forward IMO.

PANW gap up is pretty sweet. Im sure the squeeze will push it higher.

I dont think its too late to get in before it reaches 160+

It's a good long term play in general. Unlike most of the crap cybersecurity companies, the product is amazing (using one at home that I got from work as part our implementation) and they figured out that they needed to adjust their pricing model.

GIMO is another to consider. They have virtually no competition in the optical tap space (maybe KEYS), and there's about to be a whole lot of demand for that.

My long term holdings are NVDA, SHOP, PANW... trading others until I find something I like to add long.

Would add UA at these prices if they offered dividend, but... retail is hammered and UA is decent company with more growth potential. I think next earnings will be their tell for near term future.

GIMO announced it was shopping itself today. For comparison, its only competitor in the optical tap field, XXIA, was bought at 100% premium by KEYS earlier this year. CSCO has a ton of cash and their internal R&D is trash. Would not be surprised to see a sale north of $60 here.

Any merit to buying some Indian ADRs and holding for a long time? RDY or HDB for example.

Curious: Why do you think there's about to be a lot of demand for optical tap space solutions?

I'm a total layman in this area, but their Q1 revenue was only up 4% year over year and their guidance was apparently underwhelming, since their stock fell by 16%. Granted the company is still showing a lot of revenue growth on an annualized basis and Q1 could have just been a slow quarter, but what do you see as a catalyst for significant future demand? Just increased awareness of cyber threats in general, or is there some new product / secular trend in how networks are setup that you think they'll be able to benefit from?

It has to do with technological/security maturity. Lots of companies/government entities are not monitoring traffic properly due to difficulty, skills gaps, etc. This area will continue to grow just due to how immature it is.

Those that are already monitoring will transition to taps from span solutions due to ease and better performance.

I don't want to go too deep down the technical rabbit hole but that's the four sentence gist of it.
