I know a little about Las Vegas house pricing and these houses must be in the middle of no where to be that cheap.

I dont understand. You are so rich that you dont even care anymore about a million here or there? I mean you really want to be massively long las vegas real estate? it also sounds like given the specs of the house and prices, they must be on the outskirts of town, meanwhile las vegas is actually shrinking.

OP isn't doing this as an investment. He just wants to live in a system of houses interconnected by a series of tunnels. Thus whether or not it is a good idea is strictly a matter of personal utility.

That being said, I'd suggest you first start by purchasing the two neighboring properties. If you really only use 3 rooms as it is, 3 houses = 3 large rooms.

They are not in Vegas, and they might not even be anywhere on earth.

They are 45 miles northwest of Vegas. The town used to be lower-middle class but some people came in with a lot of money and tried to build it up but it never took. If I don't buy them I'll post the listings so other people can.

The "Gated community" actually has part of a gate and there's no guards at the booth, the arm is always in the up position. I believe they sold a bunch and were going to keep building but ran out of money so it's just a half completed community bordering on the ghetto.

I'd buy them, using a web of foreign entities. Set up a real gated community with permanent guards and strict enforcement against trespassing. I'd start cultivating weed in the other houses. As there is no way for law enforcement to get a probable cause to search my farms I'd make millions. Easy money.

Please do this and report.

^^ You could start a drug cartel. That way you could buy more houses to build to your underground network.

Is this the same guy that wanted to live in a complex of trailers in the desert, using a single car battery to power the same thing?

I'm getting the same "lol i'm insane" vibe over here. Who has 1.5 million dollars in cash, and wonders if buying foreclosed McMansions is a good idea?

lol quick google search suggests direct city of vegas is 25 square miles and surrounding areas make 85 square miles. 45 miles in one direction is basically nowhere.

levels here generally get more responses than serious threads anyway.

Perhaps you could turn one house into a storage facility for yellow tops to power the backup AC systems to make sure the wax people don't melt?

If you're going to build a tunnel between the houses you should include some sort of mini train ride !!

Mini train ride?

****ing amateur.

If you have a million and a half laying around, surely you can afford a full-size steam engine, and a fancy engineer's hat.

CHOO CHOO ALL ABOAAAAARD!

= bull****.

No "mansion" is selling for 112,500-142,500. Even in the sticks.

I think you're making stuff up.

I already explained that I had a different definition of a "mansion"

Also look at homes.com, filter 5+ bedrooms in Las Vegas for under 170k and you get 144 results and none of them are foreclosed bank sales. Why wouldn't houses outside of the city be cheaper?
