Re: Starting a guitar business, need advice on website, payments, etc.
Deliberating over payment processor with low volume is generally not worth the time. As much as I dislike Paypal, they are probably the easiest option for new websites. Also, customer confidence is something you should be really concerned about. A newish looking website which wants my CC details? No thanks! If it's got Paypal though then I'm far more likely to pay.

Couldn't agree more, optimize when you're really up and running.

Same. Paypal's fees aren't that outrageous. If you don't want to use it in favor of taking credit cards or checks that's cool, and luthiers are one of the few businesses that can get away with that somewhat, but I wouldn't bank on people wanting to use some lesser known payment processor. That's an instant turn off to a lot of shoppers.

Done, and thanks for the suggestion. Wordpress definitely makes integrating with social media a lot easier.

I think you're doing a good job!
I noticed you still have the default Wordpress favicon, so I quickly made you a new one. No problem if you don't want to use it or whatever!
This is what it would look like:
To use it, put the following code between the head tags at the top of your header. You'll need to delete the previous favicon code too.

edit: or if you know what to do you can just upload it to your server and link to it that way. PM if you need help!

Hmm, so far it looks like you can't alter the favicon in the free version of Wordpress. I'll keep looking.

B-Way Guitars · Modern ergonomic electric guitars designed in New York City and made in the USA.

I would have this tag line at the top of the page. Initially I had to scan the wall of text below to find out exactly what you were offering.
+1 on a youtube channel, start getting your name out there.
Do you have some sort of a workshop in New York where people can view/play your guitars?

You should be able to change the favicon. Maybe try this

I like the site but hate the domain name.

Fwiw, I setup a verified account on Stripe for the first time yesterday and got a test checkout form up and running all in about 25 or 30 minutes. It was very easy. Highly recommend.

No workshop, but I'm planning to work with a local dealer. Until then, I'm making house calls.
