For now we are using a 3rd party but at some point we are going to get our own printer.

WTF are you talking about. Have you ever heard of Bitpay? Customer pays in Bitcoin and you get your money in fiat. Free and super simple to set up.

Now I want you to pipe back Henry as you always do with some reason why your original statement was true.

It costs us 0$ to get new users (FB/IG). Most of the sells are from us.

If they come from affiliates (FB/IG) it costs us 10%.

I am aware of the service because they make a module for several e-commerce platforms I am familiar with. Assuming his platform has one simple to set up is still close to an hour and involves adding a 3rd party module and involving a 3rd party processor for absoluetly no benefit and potentially a lot of hassle. Bitcoin was only worth adding if you were big enough to get some free publicly out of that and even that option ended now that bitcoin is pretty much on life support. Creating a dual CAD/USD site is a pain but at least it is for some benefit.

What is your strategy/process in utilizing Instagram if you don't mind sharing (can take it to PM if you're more comfortable)? I have used both Facebook and Pinterest paid advertising programs and have been pretty happy with my ROI but have not really used Instagram to a significant degree. I just posted a picture here and there with a few hash tags and moved on.

You have to preselect your audience. You have to find it and interact with every single persons 1 by 1. You have to post "unique" content and don't just make promotions posts. Talk about everything related to your business with keywords that are related to your company/audience.

Today ends the first week of our creation. We are over expectations in term of sales, views and pretty much everything. Friday we ordered a refill for certain sizes that went sold out. We are also adding 2XL-2Xsmall.

Theres a 4th tshirt that will be added with that refill. That tshirt have a bigger audience than our first three that should give us access to a bigger potential customers base.

We were also featured in a bunch of instagram (one with 26k followers, another with 11k) that are related to Montreal hockey.

One repetitive critic among the forum feedbacks I've received is def the number of products available. Our priority right now is adding designs to our inventory while grinding it up. On the other hand, our actual customers can't wait to see our next tshirts. The first customers already received their tshirts and posted them on their wall/account. They have been pretty surprise with the high quality of our tshirts which is very nice to hear.

We are also having a contest that ends tonight at 23:59 for Canada only. We are giving away 3 tshirts so just follow us on our instagram and read the details in the latest pic. 140 persons are registred so far.

I've been using Pinterest - both paying for "promoted pins" and just organic views with decent success as well. If you haven't started using it yet, I'd definitely look into it. Although not ideal, it's something you can probably setup for each product pretty quickly and forget about and see what happens. Not as time-intensive.

I'm not sure if their paid advertising program is still invite only (my business is hardly substantial and I got invited so it's probably not hard even if it is). But the CPC on their network is a pretty good value relative to other social media and Google.

I dabbled a little with Pinterest. Not quite sure how it really works for now but Ive read so many articles pinpointing them as a top social media to drive traffic to your e-commerce (mostly with girls). So ya, I will def start looking into this today. I also have twitter in mind, what do you think?
ty!

Theres no silly questions

You are the second to ask me this and the answer is "its trending". It looks more "natural" then if the shirts would just be laying with no imperfections. We will def adjust it and optimize as the times goes by. We also have planned to add a header with pictures with real persons on top when we are going to have 6+ products. But you are right, it might be a little too much lol.

Don't do Pinterest, it is a scam.

Don't be fake like every other brand out there. People definitely love memes so I would go down that route. Vine videos and stuff like that.

Great site!

Have you thought about baby-size? People go nuts for that stuff.

Design selection doesn't bother me, tbh. A handful of great designs, as you have, makes it easier to choose and buy while a vast forest leads me to wander around and eventually leave. I would have maybe five designs up and discontinue one if I wanted to introduce another.

Northlegends should appear on the shirts. I know it adds to your costs, but along a bottom side hem or below the back collar always looks cool.

Never discount except as part of a last call for a design.

Oh also -- how does the free shipping at $50 work if the shirts are 24.99? Do you have to buy three, or is just buying two shirts ($49.98) ok?

Should be 2 or +. Not sure why that was changed. thx

Great stuff.

baby size as in junior size?

True but we are still low in term of different shirts. 6+ would be a lot better, would give a better visit/buy ratio.

We are adding Northlegends printed inside the tshirt in the next order. We don't want to print it in front of back (visible) since its kinda meh. It is def been a talk weve had many times.

Thanks a lot!

I know that a lot of guys are doing big numbers with paid advertising on FB selling their t-shirt designs with *********. The advantage of ********* is that you can test different designs very easily.

Not that I think you should use a company like ********* since you already have your business in place which allows for much higher margins but I think testing a ton of different design is really key. You could use ********* for testing designs and then get the winning t-shirt designs produced yourself.

The other key factor will be advertising. Grinding social media is nice but with paid advertising you have instant access to people who want to buy your product. Paid advertising is a beast on it's own but has huge potential for scaling your business instantly.

I see that you have mailing list already so that is good. Try to get as many people signed-up for this. Think of smart ways to increase your mail list. This is basically free advertising. Don't spam your database but don't leave it cold either.

Since you are focused so local, why don't you sell your shirts in local retail stores?

Last, I think the local focus is good for the start but think ahead. If you want to grow you need broaden the audience or add more niches.

The ********* idea is a very good one. Problem is: you need to advertise to get traffic on those ideas, I guess it would cost less than just make them and see if they sell.

Paid advertising is something we've started to try and see what fits best for us.

Selling to local stores is def in our "to-do" list. I've established a list of stores where Ill need to show up, shake some hands, and sell my tshirts there. We also have a very good contact (my dad) with huge sporting goods stores in Canada/USA. I feel like we still need to build some trust before heading in that direction too.

Thanks a lot! Appreciate you taking the time to write that.
