some of the threads started in this forum are far more ridiculous than this one. there was the car hustler who wanted to be a big shot finance guy, he started 2 threads. so shuffle has an opinion, let's not all get adolescent and push for 'make a bet" to stiffle an opinion.

I don't know.

OP is there a reason you created your own thread and couldnt just post this in the trading thread? You obviously arent here to take advice and are clearly turning down DIablos offer.

I feel like the underlying logic behind this thread is

"Look how much it went down in just a WEEK! imagine a YEAR from now!"

This is a trading idea, and it was generating lots of discussion on its own.
No reason why it can't continue here.
+epic thread potential

Aside from the chest-beating, there have already been some good posts by a few members in this thread.

And on the contrary, I think this is the next best thing to Diablo's offer, BoredSocial, all of them.
Someone will come out of this looking like a complete idiot.

It's not buried on page xx of May Trading Thread.

I don't plan on keeping this on top of Page 1 for the next 6 months or whatever,
but when it does get bumped it will be hard for the loser to squirm away from their prediction.

And anyone is free to post their ideas on why Facebook should be valued at $x.

Can he even get involved with options if he has not traded before? If I remember correctly I didn't get access to options right of the bat when I first opened a brokerage account.

I think it also depends on the value of the assets you have (securities + cash) and whether you've applied for margin. Probably broker dependent.

I am a proponent of the "put your money where your mouth is OP or STFU" strategy.

I'm not.

Because from a decent sample of smart-mouth you can find good info if you know what you are doing and capitalize on the opportunity instead of him/them.

I don't think people are 'hating' on you per se... You're projecting your internal angst and thinking the source is external.

People are mostly thinking you're a dumbass.... one that apparently isn't even willing to risk a grand or two on his unwavering convictions.
