Re: The Shark Tank

I thought the Copa guy was pretty sharp and really didn't have much intention of making a deal that wasn't 100% in his favor. I would think that he probably got a couple of very profitable calls from companies with an interest in licensing from him just from his appearance on the show. Was there no episode last night btw?

Re: The Shark Tank

FWIW I listened to an interview with Daymond John and he said that only about 1 out of every 8 deals they make actually end up going through due to the contracts, some info being withheld, etc. Therefore he said they try to get as many as they can knowing that it's likely most won't go through.

Re: The Shark Tank

For anyone who loves the Dragons Den and Shark Tank shows, there is also a UK version which is pretty good. In fact I enjoy the UK version the most. If you are ever bored and looking for something to watch, multiple seasons of the UK Dragons Den are on youtube.

no doubt. she sure shut up baldy when she said her sales figures. When that first guy offered 100k for 10 percent and wanted everyone else in, I said to my wife, "what shark goes on this show to go in with 4 other people. Grow a f'n pair and make a real offer."

Come back from commercial and Daymond does exactly that. Props to him.

You can watch old episodes on their site if you want more of the same.
grunch so apologies if it's been said - it's based on a BRITISH show called Dragons' Den, which is produced by a Japanese company who ran a similar show in Japan. There are versions of it in 20+ other countries, all of which are based on the UK format.

Hell yes! When I was in London in August I saw a wine glass with that pull off top from that vino guy (I assume licensed from him). I think it was at Marks & Spencer iirc. Looks like he did not need them after all.
