Yep. That's why it wasn't a big surprise Mark was willing to pay so much, granted he does overpay from time to time.

Best part of this show for me is when mark goes nuts and just completely upstages the other sharks. I literally laugh out loud when he throws his notebook down and intently stares and yells offers. Although I will say it was kinda douchey when he said let me decide who comes in (feel like they edited that in an odd way) but it's true. He knows everyone wants to work with him and he basically dictates the deals that are made for the really good products these days.

Since it was so clear the sharks wanted in so bad I was surprised they didn't they at least counter offer or ask for more money. Seemed pretty obvious they could get more..or were their cards already on the table in a way since they said how much more round money they needed and at what % they had given it already?

Good gravy. Those Splikitywhatever guys were horrible. I've used KeePass for free for years, and now that I use Google Drive all I have to do is drop a copy of the Keepass file into my Drive folder. Easy.

This time a million. Everything that they claimed as revolutionary is 100% standard.

Besides, many applications now offer some form of single sign-on, which I expect to continue as a trend. This will negate the need for so many passwords.

wet wipes are my everything, but i buy them in bulk at Costco. no reason to buy those. Also, i have a couple boxes of the individually packed One Wipe Charlies from Dollar Shave Club. never leave home without 2.

... but im a super paranoid dude about bathroom stuff.

Mark totally just pulled his dick out there at the end and said "mine's bigger". Classic.

I like the Kirkland wipes from Costco. Not gonna pay 7 bucks for 48 wipes when I can get better quality wipes @ 20 bucks for 900 Kirkland wipes. Dude Wipes did a hell of a job branding and with their packaging though and I can see why it took off. They've been a top seller on Amazon for 6+ months pre-dating the Shark Tank effect too.

The jerky guys walk in asking for $100k for 15%. Daymond offers $100k for 17.5%. Jerky guys then ask if at that level of (minimal) equity he'll be incentivized to offer the full benefit of his shark power. Thought they were going to get excoriated for asking that when they came in asking for 15% and then they get praised instead. A little odd.

Also, it's funny how often Robert gets totally ignored. Seems like he and Kevin are the options of last resort for most of these entrepeneurs. Probably goes Mark >> Lori/Barbara > Daymond >> Robert >> Kevin.

EDIT: Just watched some more of the episode. Switch Witch is one of the worst business ideas ever presented on the show.

I didn't even understand what Switch Witch was.

So like. You buy a 30$ item, so you can take away your kids candy and give them ANOTHER item in return...

I guess they really thought they could make it viral and turn it into some kind of Santa type thing. But the actual product they sold wasn't necessary at all and made no sense to me.

What kid wants to give up his candy for a present?

I'd do it if the present was badass.

But then you have to figure out how to keep your kids motivated to go get a bunch of candy.

Seems like the end game of Switch Witch is that your kids just don't participate in Halloween.

I think they just started at low equity because of the Shark Tank rules. If they started their offer at 300k for 30% they'd have to get a 300k investment at least, which is risky.

Drone deal was basicly just the sharks seeing that smartphone prototype and thinking if that ends up working it will be worth millions, right? No way they get that deal without that prototype imo.

Drones need some type of marketing/branding behind them. I can't remember the name of the drone company or model.

The latter half of the Windcatcher segment was pretty wild. Guy somehow goes from a lowball venture-debt offer from Kevin and an ensuing minute of crickets chirping to sharks falling over themselves to eventually give him a much better deal than his initial ask. Didn't really get the vibe that the dude would be an easy person to work with, but for Lori's sake I hope I'm wrong.

Hot coffee guy cost himself a deal saying it took him 6 years to create. I'm sure many other people take lots of time developing their ideas before launch, but they don't get into the specifics of how long. Imho coffee guy will do fine eventually provided the episode doesn't just give other players the idea to create a competing product. But for stadiums, movies, planes, etc... I could see it being big here in time.

Mattress guy reminded me so much of a young Steve Buscemi. He's gonna be a rich man.

Yea Chris Sacca was a great addition. It was such a nice change when he realized he was being offered a great valuation and just took their deal instead of trying to scam the presenters because "I'm a shark, I'm so valuable."

STEM women definitely screwed up going with Lori instead of him.

Wind catcher guy seemed like an idiot but hit the jackpot.

I actually don't think idiot is the right word. For sure passionate/weird/eccentric. But he's not dumb.

Air mattress guy's website has Pre-orders ship Jan 2016. Guess Lori wanted to reduce PO risk and see how many orders come in from the shark tank effect & manufacture accordingly. Makes sense financially but annoying as a consumer.

Seems like it could serve as a pretty good holidays gift though, I think it is a bad move.

Lori rekt that VC capital dude this episode .

Business for college football renting of houses seemed ridiculous to me. Guess it's only something you can understand if you're from MERICA.

I don't know. Not wanting to reveal important financial info to potential investors is pretty stupid. Trying to build an inflatables brand is pretty stupid. The play is licensing, all day everyday.

I don't think your argument makes sense. He didn't want to reveal his financial info on national TV. Lori will obv get the info before deciding whether to close.

Plus, not to be results oriented, but he got a pretty good deal.
