Good for Cuban for attempting to call the sharks on their bs offer. As usual Robert chimes in at the end with an idiotic offer he knows they won't take.
I didn't even understand why they were making a deal in the first place.

That felt like they wanted to be on TV to get exposure more than any other pitch I've seen.

wish they had them here. I dont eat peanut butter because its too sweet for too little protein.

Or they need an almond milk version (rolo/peanut butter flavor?) with actual protein content.

Ya I've never seen a scammier offer than that one. thy had millions in sales and that's what the Sharks offer?!

And then they had the balls to make the offer worse, because they left the room.

We were just going to bend you over and rape you with lube, but since you left the room, we've removed the lube.

Did they really think they had a whale on the line or something? Maybe they thought these guys were whales who seriously overvalued the sharks so they might as well go for a home run. And huge lol at Kevin having to explain to Lori how the deal worked.

I thought the bolded at first, but I thought that their counter to give 10% equity for 750K was earnest, which means that they really felt like the shark connections could help them out. So, I don't think that they came on just for the publicity (like others have). But I also agree w/ you and Cuban, that they really didn't need a shark at all. It seems they felt differently though.

If you have a costco nearby you can get 2 40oz jars of natural (no sugar) peanut butter for $11. It's virtually identical to the nuts n' more one (8g protein vs 12g).

I'd rather pay $11 for 80oz of 8g protein peanut butter vs $10 for 16oz of 12g peanut butter. If you need more protein, just make a shake

there are so many products boasting added protein and they have less than 10 grams. i mean, is that really a lot of protein? like the granola bars they sell with "protein plus" have nothing.

5 grams! probably 20 grams of sugar to boot.

the nuts' n more seems like it is pretty healthy though. lot less fat than regular pb and 1 g of sugar. it's almost guaranteed to taste like crap like most natural peanut butters. I'll throw one into my next amazon order, b/c they're only listed as "add-ons" for prime

Sorry to hijack, but my personal recommendation in this area are Cool Mint Chocolate Clif Bars. I get them for under a buck a piece at Trader Joes and the per bar vitals are:

10g Protein
43g Carbs
5g Dietary Fiber (3g insuluble)
5g Fat
250 Calories

And they taste AMAZING. In all honesty I've probably had one of them for (or as part of) my lunch more than 95% of all days within the last 5 years. They fill you up but not in a "laden down" kind of way. That plus maybe a few crackers and 20+ ounces of water leave me good to go from about 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

I think Robert has gotten much better recently. Many more legitimate offers and much less complaining and whining.

for a mass-market product i agree with the first part. however, i got the "game-changer" impression from both the paint brush cover and the plastic cone that goes around the bottom of crops, but of course that mainly applies if you're a painter or a farmer.

the plastic cone farmer's pitch was one of my favorite in shark tank history. the guy was just so earnest, answering "why not charge more $$?" with "that wouldn't be fair to farmers" and his product cut the water needed by 3000%.

That Boobypack lady was fighting so hard not to crack under the pressure right before Robert made his first offer, was difficult to watch. Glad she got Barbara, felt like a Barbara-product.

Kevin's deals have become so weird, sometimes they are really good deals and sometimes they're giant rip-offs, no in betweens.

Does venture debt typically work the way it is being offered on the show? I always thought it was more like "we give you a loan for x years at y% interest rate, but at any time during the x years we can convert the loan into z% equity of the company".

It felt like a giant rip-off what was being offered. I'd be surprised if she couldn't get a straight-up 250k$ loan at a slightly better rate if she's willing to secure some assets of the company. Company has existed for 5 years, over a million in sales, net profit... As long as her balance sheet or cash flow doesn't look ridiculous (which she kinda confirmed with paying a 110k loan back) getting a 250k loan shouldn't be an issue right?

I still cheered like crazy when Barbara poached his deal over a 5% gap. That was great.

Was anyone surprised at how low the paint brush cover guys sales were? Thousands and thousands of stores, 18 employees, and just over a mil in sales? Means they're sell a few units per store, and making next to nothing by my count. I thought that idea would ultimately sell really well.

Lumi chick knew what she was doing, but man she was so unlikeable.

Yeah she deserves to have someone copy her and produce it in an asian country.

The product would sell so well for a cheaper price point in asia.

What i'd do if i were her is i would go to dbag clubs and sell printed shirts of dbags and friends. The washed out look is pretty huge in dbag culture right now

The Lumi deal made no sense to me. The sharks were adamant about structuring a loan into the deal leaving me to believe they were concerned about the company providing a return on investment....so why loan the company money? Obviously they felt secure in the short term ability of this company to pay back a loan vs. the long term profitability of the company and wanted a free roll.

I believe in the end Lori had her offer at a $250K loan @ %8.5 for %7 equity. I feel she (anyone) could of just dropped the loan portion and probably got to %10 equity on this amount and closed the deal.

In fact...If Kevin had not interrupted Lori, I guarantee she would of made an offer with absolutely no loan repayment involved and possibly ended up at the %10 mark.

Watched it as well, sharks remained very disciplined at the electric skateboard, 20% has gotta be worth 100k easily even at this early stage if he wasn't lying about anything?

Hamdog was ridiculous, I'm fairly certain his patent was literally just for the name hamdog, right? I can't imagine that they could ever proof that he invented a burger with a hot dog in it. The guy was probably happy to take the freeroll.

You can't patent a name. If he has a patent, it's for the hamdog itself.

A ziplock bag could be used as a paint brush cover. Construction guys are cheap.

I don't understand the Lumi lady. She needed a shark to get into more retail location. Should have structured the deal that way. If they get her into Costco or Walmart the shark get 10% equity.

It will be messy, leaky and the brush will dry out. The brush cover seals it air tight so it will not leak, but also will still be wet if you want to come back to it hours later or the next day or something. Besides, the covers are really cheap.

Easily one of the best, dumb, "no ****", long term money making product inventions I can think of from the show.
