Quickbooks vs Xero for a restaurant

I apologize if this has been asked but I couldn't find anything when I searched.
I'm in the process of purchasing my first restaurant/bar. I've narrowed my accounting system down to QuickBooks and Xero. Both seem more than acceptable on the surface. However, I do have some concerns that Xero seems more geared towards smaller mom/pop shops, not this industry. We will be doing a minimum of a half million a year in sales. Does anyone with experience in this industry have knowledge of the best choice? Is there that big of a difference between the two?
Thanks in advance!

What are you using for pos? That's most vital so it can link into it directly. Micros is pretty popular but I hate it's operational interface. Try to get something with nice internal CRM if you are doing any customer loyalty program for discounts, rewards etc
