Re: investing $$$ in a friend who is supposed to be good in FOREX

I'm not sure why people knee-jerk say no to stuff like this. It obviously depends if he is good or not. If he can beat Forex then you should obv do it imo. If he can't then you shouldn't.

If OP has no way to determine that they he shouldn't invest anything he's not prepared to lose but saying he will for sure lose his money is dumb. You don't know this guy is a fish.

Re: investing $$$ in a friend who is supposed to be good in FOREX

Most banks have shut down their proprietary trading desks. They make a market but they don't take positions. I have been involved in FX risk management for 15 years and I don't think it is possible to beat this market. Too big, too efficient. Occasionally technicians get lucky but I think my Greenspan comment above is accurate.

It's exactly like poker. If you ask a bunch of randoms if you should give your friend money to play poker they will all say no. But with if your friend crushes 5/10 NL and for whatever reason needs a backer right now...

As somebody who has staked friends in poker and done quite well from it, I would certainly advise a random person who doesn't know anything about poker to NOT stake a friend asking for a stake.

Re: investing $$$ in a friend who is supposed to be good in FOREX

In a vacuum dont do it

If he produces a lifetime trading graph that looks like livb's then we're good to go

Basically it depends how good he is, but like with poker, most people arent good enough that investing in them is a good idea

BTW, there is a Forex conference coming up in Vegas from the 22nd to the 24th. Free to attend, an easy way to get a start on Forex education.
