What would you say is the best online brokerage account to open for a canadian citizen? I've been buying mutal/index funds through scotia bank but I doubt they're the best out there so if someone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

I use questrade for their cheap trades, but you can only buy stocks/options on Canadian and US exchanges, so no mutual funds, bonds, etc.

questtrade for the win.. cheap trades by number of shares.. and much improved software.. and after market trading is very nice 2
