Re: How to reach Starcraft2 pro players for idea?

E-mail and Twitter. I know a few of the SC2 pros tweet about going to the gym or w/e. I would think of a clever or informative tweet with your info and send it to the ones that seem like they would fit. If you can get a few of them interested and retweeting your stuff that could drive traffic.

Facebook and Reddit can also work, but Twitter seems to be where you could probably get lucky the fastest. After you build up some credibility from Twitter and the other social media sites - hopefully someone starts a thread naturally on TeamLiquid for you. After that happens you have your in to start posting, but just don't be overly spammy with it. Try to legitimately help people and hopefully the trolls won't be too bad.

Also, what kind of salary rate can a diamond 1v1 player get? Do I have to be top 200 to get paid?

Just wondering if there's any real money to be made.
Not sure diamond players can get any salary. One of our bloggers is already masters level. Paying pros to use us is definitely not on my top priority list at all.

I still don't get it. Why Starcraft players and not WoW or Counterstrike players? It seems like you have taken what is a valuable service to all of society and decided to try to market it to a small demographic that historically has show absolutely no interest in fitness.

+1

That said, if you want to reach a ton of players, run some free tournaments and let the sites like sclegacy know about it. I did one for 250 (8 years ago) and got tons of visitors to my site

I'm guessing it's because he's actually involved with the Starcraft community, and has enough knowledge of it to persuade those sitting on the fence about working out to start by using a common interest.

wasn't sure if thread was serious but this post leans towards no.

if yes, your demographic is not interested in fitness, and if they are, they are likely to be able to figure out everything you can teach them for free.

This, and your site talks to them like they are babies. These are still adults, they don't need to be told the bench press is the "marauder" of weight lifting.

Honestly, people that are good at starcraft are generally very, very, smart. Poker pros gravitate towards SS, WS, or another tried and true compound program. I'd say for competitive level players its about the same level of intelligence and i'd expect them to do the same thing on the off chance they actually wanted to get into shape, and it is indeed an offchance.

Literally never seen a worse site, or heard of a dumber idea in my life. If I were a starcraft geek, (and I've known plenty) I'd just pirate a copy of SS, (which is basically your program without the retarded parallels) or go to a 24hr fitness.

I'm in the camp that thinks the target demographic is all wrong.

However, understanding SC has nothing to do with understanding biology and sports science. The internet is not the best place to learn a proper workout technique, and I am confident the majority of people who have worked with a PT would agree with me.

Seems way too niche IMO, but good luck.

Too late. WoW players can already grind fitness on www.fitocracy.com
