Thx for answers. Yeah, i decided against sales people on bestpokercoaching people long time ago, bc our product is "us" and it's not that complicated to explain to our audience. Not many unknowns that can't be explained in FAQs / Support. Tech is very different.

I'm super bullish about your idea.
"Is the market too niche for tech sales for poker players"
=> I'd say yes, and why restrict yourself for no reason. The stuff you teach should be rather similar no matter the background of the student. Maybe leave out the underground 2p2 references, but "how to sell tech online edu" is niche enough imo.
There are many online edu companies (i specialize here, outside poker as well) that have models "you only pay if you get a job 3months after blablabla".
I think education is VERY attractive if it is connected with a tangible result. I still can't believe how brainwashed most people (especially in the US) are who pay 40k/yr for a joke piece of paper.
That is your real competition and it's very low and i personally believe in your idea a lot. I mean, you have to only be better than 200k debt + uber driver job
)). Probably your best customers are those who did the mistake in the first place lol.
The more you can tie your coaching to the specific outcome (100k job etc), the higher prices you can charge and people will happily pay, because you guarantee it.
If you can "kind of" guarantee 200k, why wouldn't somebody pay you 50k for that.
Sure you'll have to add caveats such as "you have to at least apply to 10companies" or "you have to finish my 10hour of material", but that's something you'll figure out along the way.
Most of all, it really has to work if people put in reasonable effort. And if they don't pay (or pay close to nothing) if it doesn't work, they got a fair shot and you broke even.
What you should be more concerned is practical stuff:
How expensive will the traffic be. For example poker training sites compete with billion dollar companies (Stars) for similar keywords. That makes "normal" PPC advertising a difficult model
Most people just build something and "hope" that people will find them. In poker, all training sites use a community oriented strategy. None of them got big through google PPC (at least not afaik lol).
Or, building the website the right way. U probably knows this stuff as a techie, but there are many things that can make ur life terrible here.
So if you're bad with this stuff, i'd partner with a friend who knows this stuff.
