The gold bubble finally bursts, where will the money go?
the increasing volatility in gold market is showing we are now approaching the end of the biggest bubble in recent history or have already seen it. so with gold stumbling it is time for us to figure out the next big bubble to put the money into. one thing to learn of the this bubble is that people are apparently not afraid to put money into overpriced assets even though history has clearly shown that bubbles will ultimately pop. i had assumed that this time people would be smart enough to realize that you ll get burnt by buying at 4x the historical average with all the information being freely available but apparently they were not.
so what will the next big bubble be?

Holy shcet, how many gold threads? Do we really need you starting a new thread every time you mistakenly call a top to gold?

Based on thread title I expected GLD to be approaching 52-week lows.
Thread disappoints.

Goldbugs believe that gold will hit infinity thousand dollars by years' end, so this qualifies as a "burst" to them.

the developments are not in anyway contradicting what i had suggested before. let s face it, the direction will be mainly southward from now on. the higher volatility and the high price will make it difficult to find more suckers to load this off to.

You still have $150 to go just to get to your original position, let alone claim victory on a crash. You are the equivalent of someone who is down 21-0 in a football game trash talking when, after the other team goes up 42-0, you score 2 touchdowns. Scoreboard, yo.

Re: The gold bubble finally bursts, where will the money go?
The 'money' has already gone. It went from the bagholders to the smart money this week.
I fully expect bear traps and sucker's rallies going fwd.
Gold in a deflationary environment is EPIC FAIL. But, it may make sense as a small part of a diversified portfolio.
