economics: trade-off between inflation and unemployment economics: trade-off between inflation and unemployment

sorry, i would post this in economics but there is so little traffic... first page of threads goes back to february.

has the idea that there's a trade-off between inflation and unemployment become much less popular over the years? i'm seeing alot of hints about this in my recent ssrn-type reading.

i would have thought the idea shouldn't have lessened much at all.......... not sure what to think of the idea that we've had tame inflation over the last 25+ years.... good central banking? structural changes - lesser unions, COLA-adjustments, chinese imports etc. ?

sorry, that's a bit of a ramble....... any thoughts? thx in advance
